Chapter 8: going back to where I belong

When I walked out of the forest I realised I was wearing my dark blue suit. Thank you Aphrodite.

The camp looked almost deserted as I walked into the cabin area. The only cabin that was full was Cabin 5.

I ran up to Clarisse who was sharpening her sword.

"Where is everyone?" I asked her

She looked at me and sighed "Empire state building the war has started" said Clarisse "Actually it started yesterday"

"And your just gonna sit here!" I yelled at her

"Listen Phillips, the Apollo cabin disrespected my honour..." started Clarisse

"Then why don't you fight with us to prove them wrong" I said but Clarisse turned back to sharpening her sword. "I give up" and I walked to the weapon shed.

I picked up a horn and ran to the property line where I melted into the shadows.

I appeared in the underworld and I found Nico sitting by the fire tears rolling down his face.

"My lord you can not show this weakness especially here" said King Minos who was with him in ghost form.

"I'll do what I like anyway she was my sister and Kronos took her prisoner" said Nico and I bowed my head in sorrow.

"You must fight for her" said Minos

"I'm not fighting until he does" said Nico gesturing towards Hades' palace.

"Well persuade him" I said as I sat next to him

"How did you escape?" asked Nico but before I could tell him Minos interrupted.

"She has Kronos' mark burned to her skin" said Minos as Nico pulled up my sleeve. On my arm was Kronos' scythe.

"Traitor" snarled Nico

"No he was controlling a part of my mind for two years" I said

"It's been more than two years" said Hades out of the shadows

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I let him take that part of your mind since you were born in return he would leave the underworld alone" said Hades

"HOW THE HELL COULD YOU DO THAT!" I shouted at him

"It was a bargain" said King Minos as Hades melted into the shadows

"I'm going up to fight every monster then it's Kronos' turn" I said

"I'm going as well" said Nico

"No stay down here and persuade Mr I don't care about my children to join the fight" I said and I hugged him

"See you later" said Nico and he ran to Hades' palace
