Cortana: The Lost Story

Wake Up

I've arrived. I'm in the middle of the Elite cruisers. I'm receiving a call from Jul Mdama.
"Jul, what is it now?" I say already guessing the answer.
"I've figured you out. You aren't any Forerunner, you are simply an AI... Cortana."
"I assumed you would figure that out eventually, honestly saddens me how long it took." I say teasing him.
"No matter... You're still going to die." He says taunting me back.
"That's where you're wrong Jul."
"Don't test me Cortana." He says angrily.
"You seem to be unaware of the fact I have the one you call demon here to back me up."
"DEMON! 117. The Master Chief. How could you have possibly kept him alive in there?" He says confused.
"What you also seem to be unaware of is that I'm not a normal AI. I was built to be better. I was also able to defeat two squadrons you sent at me. Didn't even need Chief for that. Also got the power on this ship fully working. You know nothing about me." I say bragging.
"There is just no way you could have done that. No matter. An army is standing outside your doorstep. The demon won't have any chance." He says unaware of Johns true power.
"You underestimate his power Jul. Wouldn't be the first army he's taken down. He is responsible for a destruction of a species." I say explaining what John can do.
"No matter I have multiple carriers and some of the best warriors there are." He says still defending his statement.
"John has killed two of the three of your prophets. Causing the end of the Covenant. He won't have half a problem with a fleet twice you size... And that would be without me." I say continuing to tease him.
"I'll have my best men at your doorstep. Whenever you're ready come on out." Jul says challenging us.
"Well do." I respond.
Ok looks like I'm at the front lines of a war now. Haven't needed John all this time but that's about to change. Not going to make it out of this one without him. From my radar I turned on looks like Jul understands Johns strength. He lied a bit, some of his troops are inside the ship. They are waiting in tactical locations to ambush us. So looks like I shouldn't keep them waiting. This is AI CTN 0452-9 Cortana signing off.

"Wake up John... I need you."
