The thunderous roar of water, flooded the boys senses as he awoke. Trevor's blue eyes widened, as he stared out across a large, dark, void that sat in front of him. Trevor stood, legs shaking as he did, eyes not leaving the center of the lake. The water rippled, like things were below the surface, watching, waiting, for that moment to show themselves. He looked toward the waterfall that seemed to fall from no where near the edge of the lake. He looked at the falls, confusion in his eyes.

"Wasn't I just in the car with... Adam! Oh god wheres Adam?" The boy squeaked, whipping around, hoping to catch a glimpse of his twin.

When after looking for a sign he found none, a frown appeared on his face. His nose crinkled slightly as he let out, an angered huff.

"Adam if you're trying to scare me it won't work!" He called, his voice echoed through the empty area. "Adam come on we have to find mom, and get outta here!" he called again, his voice seeming to be taken by the waterfall.

The thirteen year old twin, trembled slightly, as he adjusted his turtleneck. Kids always poked fun at the red shirt, but Adam always made them sound like the idiots. His knees knocked together slightly, as he looked around in a circle. To him it was unknown what way to go. A shaky breath passed over his lips, as his legs moved away from the lake. Moving seemingly by themselves, toward large trees, that were laced between the tall, aged structures.

The boy looked around, eyes wide. A sick sensation filled the boy. The sense of being watched caused him to look over his shoulder. His eyes turned away from in front of him, causing him to nearly walk into the building. His head turned back, his nose nearly touching the building. A small squeal rose from the boy's throat. A sigh sounded from behind him, causing him to tilt his head up, revealing a pale figure with dark blue, near black hair. His dark eyes looked into the bright blue ones of the child.

"Kid, you okay?" he said softly, with almost a stern feeling to it.

"Y-yeah..." Trevor said sitting up, he rubbed the back of his head.

He looked up at the figure, they had somewhat long, dark hair, an old, almost dusty, black suit, and their legs seemed to morph together as it went down toward his feet. The male figure let out a sigh, seeming to float over to the boy. He leaned forward, holding a hand out. Trevor stared at the hand, and then reach out. A shiver ran up the boy's spine when the ice of the others hand met his. Trevor trembled, as he was forcefully pulled to his feet.

"Come on we need to get moving," the male said, irritation laced in his voice.

He began to walk away without another word. Trevor walked a few steps behind him, watching the world around him, not wanting to walk into another building. His eyes, seemed to drift back up to the male in front of him. His pace quickened as he walked beside the male. Trevor's blue eyes focused on where he was walking, not wanting to have another confrontation with a building.

"The buildings aren't real kid," the other said, causing Trevor to look up.

"Huh...? They aren't?"

"No, Lady Death creates these so we don't feel like she does with the area around her castle. She makes them physical because some like to stay in them. I don't stay in them; it reminds me to much of living," he said, looking down at the boy. "I'm Cyrus by the way."

"Trevor Creek," he said, smiling at the man.

Cyrus didn't speak as they continued the trek through the world, the wind ruffled the grass. The boy looked down and gently kicked a rock that was beside him. It felt real enough to the teen, even his open mind found it hard to grasp that the things he felt were not real. His blue eyes scanned the older male in front of him, looking no older than twenty. Trevor smiled slightly, his mind wandering to his cousin that had spent so much time with him and his twin. He was twenty-one and had gone into the military, his life had been short lived when he had gotten killed by an explosion during a raid somewhere. He shook his head slightly, smile not wavering. Even at the males funeral he smiled sometimes as tears ran down his cheek, it was in his nature to smile.

"Why are you smiling like an oaf?" Cyrus hissed, pulling Trevor back to the real world.

"It's all I can do in times like these, a smile makes things seem like they will get better." Cyrus shook his head.

"Where you will be going things will get better, you will find your brother, and mother, then be reunited for eternity... I wish I could go there," he said solemnly as he seemed to float beside the boy.

"Where will I be going?" Trevor asked.

"Ealim Alhaya, the Realm of Life... Nadra and Purity over see it. This purgatory slash Limbo, Lady Death oversees it. The one place you don't want to go is Buraee ke Daayare, the Realm of Evil, the god Shiva is trapped there, Death is trapped there as well, but Nadra and Purity may go freely between worlds," he explained. Trevor's mind raced all these large names and places made his head spin.

"So Purity and Nadra are... good?" he asked, Cyrus gave a simple nod as a response.

"At your age yes the would be 'good' though... Purity is the reason Death is stuck here, and I believe she is to blame for Shiva being trapped as well. If she wouldn't have made the mistakes she had maybe this world wouldn't be such a dark place for us." Cyrus had an almost irritated tone in his voice as they rose to the top of the hill.

The large castle Death called home was in front of them with the grass dead around the castle. Trevor looked at the grass under his feet, which was still alive. His eyes drifted to the castle, large and foreboding to him. The bridge in front of the castle was crowded with people and a small girl ran around seemingly trying to talk to everyone.

"This is your stop Lady Death's Castle...be careful okay? And do NOT make deals with Death; she will make sure she wins," he stated, Trevor nodded.

"Okay, I won't, don't worry. Now I'll be off okay I need to find my family." He said walking toward the castle, the dead grass crunched loudly under his feet.

He, just like his sibling, had no idea what would happen to them next.
