I awoke in a dark room. My hands were tied to a chair, not my legs. That's his first mistake. I instantly knew what happened. I am taken hostage. I bet Shawn is counting on the group to come back for me. There is some sort of bandana tied tightly on my mouth. They should leave me behind. I'm not worth it. Suddently, the lights flashed on, the beams of light making me have to adjust my eyes to the bright. "Good morning Mr. Collins!" Shawn said as he walked through a door which I hadn't seen. "Rise and shine! It's interrogation time!" he exclaimed as he ripped the bandana off my face. As soon as he did that, I spit directly in his eye. He laughed, wiping it off with his right hand. Then, he nailed me across the face with his fist. "We won't hurt you Mr. Collins, as long as you tell us everything." I just noticed the hand that Nyx's arrow impaled is well bandaged. "You mean how we hurt you huh, tell me, how's that arrow wound coming?" I said, taunting. He punched me again, this time harder. "Don't make me hurt you," I said with a smile. He punched again, with the same amount of power as before. "Why don't you punch me with the other hand?" He looked at his left hand, hurt, and punched me with his right. "How long have I been here?" I asked. "YOU'RE NOT THE ONE ASKING QUESTIONS!" he said, more furious than I had ever seen him. "One question for another." I said with a wider grin. "Fine, 2 days. My turn." He said, grinning back. "Tell me, did you have a family before this?" He said. He got me, I'm weak, and he knows it. "Yes, I responded with regret. "My turn," I said. "What's your wife's name?" He had the same sign of weakness that I'm sure I had. Gotcha. "Martha." he said. "My turn, did you have siblings, what happened to them?" he said. "Yes, I had a sister. I don't know what happened to her." I still can't sleep. "How did Nyx kill your wife?" I asked. "I counted on her to save Martha, but she killed her instead." He turned around in grief. That's his second mistake. I got up, jumped, and broke the chair under me. He turned around, but it was too late. I hit him across the face with one of the chair's leg. He fell with a loud THUD. I got the knife he had and freed myself. I got out the door and looked for an exit. I ran down the hall, but stopped as soon as I heard it.
"Help! Somebody help me!" I knew Shawn had others. I found the room where the cry for help came. I burst through the door. There was a man with a gun at the corner of the room. Before he could take aim, I threw Shawn's knife and it dug into the man's forehead. I walked to him and took the knife back. The man in the chair was breathing hard. His intire face was covered. I took it off, revealing his face. "Please don't hurt me!" he said with fear in his eyes. "I'm not going to hurt you, I'm getting us out of here." I said as I untied him. "I'm Mark, what's your nam-" I started but couldn't finish. His fist connected with my cheek, and he ran out of the room. So much for saving him. I stood up, not knowing what to do. HONK! I ran to the nearest window and saw a 18 wheeler drive next to the factory. Crrk. "Mark, get out here, we'll cover you!" I laughed. I've never been so happy to hear Matt's voice. I was on the second floor, so it won't take long to get down there. I turned, only to find Shawn, aiming his gun right at me. "Don't move, or I'll kill you and your friends." I looked over to the window. It won't hurt all that much. "I'd like to see you try," I said as I jumped out the window. CRASH! Bullets whizzed by me as I came closer and closer to the truck. This is going to hurt. I thought as I prepared for the landing.
