Chapter 12

It had been weeks since Splinter has gotten good sleep. He had been drinking soda, and coffee to help him stay awake. He's never felt so tired that he swore he saw things that weren't there. He finally took off work to sit with Venus de Milo.

The four boys still went to school and slept at home in their own beds. Splinter just wasn't there to cook, clean and be there to protect them. For the first time in years they had to walk or ride the bus to school and back. But they knew to stay strong and health for Venus.

Since the fire they had taken on more responsibilities and better precaution of them self. The keep track of where the principle was at all times. They still did their normal after school activities.

Raph was on the road there house sat on when he saw Mikey riding his skate board up and down the street. "RAPH!!" He yelled at the top of her lungs.

"What Mikey?" Raph snarled at him. He was just coming home from wrestling practice which didn't goes very good. He got kicked off the team for not being able to go to all of the practices.

Mikey stopped skating and started walking next to him. "I got the report cards out of the mail," Mikey smiled big at him "You got A's and B's no C's baby!" Mikey jumped up and down.

"Give it" Raph snarled at him and snatched it from him. He looked at it and he was right. "Holey SHIT I know what's going on the fridge!" Raph yelled in happiness

"I told you that! I got B's and two A's no C's" Mikey told him jumping up and down. "Leo got B's, Donnie got straight A's and Venus got straight F's." Mikey looked down and began to tear up.

"Aww Mikey," Raph pulled him into a hug and rubbed his back and kissed his head. "Mikey it will be okay" Raph began to tear up himself. "I miss her to Mikey, but she'll wake up soon Donnie said so and he's the smart one,"

"I miss her Raphie" Mikey told her. "I miss seeing her somewhat positive attitude, and her music in the house and he being sneaky and disappearing," He laid his head on Raph's shoulder.

Leo came outside and saw Mikey having another breakdown this week. "Mikey!" He yelled as loud as he could. "Come inside its getting dark out!"

Mikey looked over and saw him, "Come on Raph," Mikey told him and looked down. He walked into the house. And sat down on the couch in the living room.

"Donnie's making dinner Mikey," Leo told him and sat next to him on the couch. "He's making pizza you favorite," Leo told him trying to get a smile on his face.

"What kind of pizza?" Mikey asked and made a small smile on his face but, it didn't stay long thought.

"Jelly bean, and anchovies," Leo told and saw Mikey's face brighten up.

"My favorite!" Mikey looked at Leo "But why?"

"Cause me and Donnie couldn't decide and remembered it was your night to pick," Leo told him.

"Thanks but you didn't have to," Mikey confessed to him.

"It was that or chines or pasta,"

"I know," Mikey wiped his tears away. "I miss daddy cooking,"

"Mikey we all do," Donnie told him and came into the living room. "Dinner's done,"

"Hey Don," Mikey and Leo told him together.

"Dinner's fresh out of the oven," He walked back into the kitchen with Leo and Mikey following him. Raph came down when he heard the dinner bell. He came in with a pencil and pad. They all sat in silence with one or two slices, in Mikey's case three or four.

Raph looked at them and pounded the table "I think the fire was a se up! Whoever did this will pay?"

"Raphael!" Leo hollered at him.

"Leonardo," Raph mimicked back at him. "Listen please. I was the only one awake why your fat ass were passed outs,"

"Father said it was only you awake because it was your element," Donnie told him.

"Raph what do you think?" Leo asked him.

"Someone was stuffing paper with matches under the door catching the door and room on fire. It was scary,"

"Whoa, whoa Raph was scared!" Mikey said and burst out laughing. "It must have been true then,"

"Raph father told us not to talk about the fire," Leo told him and looked at Mikey. "Go get in the shower Mikey,"

"Alright," He went upstairs and got in the shower.

"Raph! Not in front of Mikey okay," Leo scolded at him.

"Why not?" Raph asked him still confused.

"Mikey's been having night mares," Leo told him

"Either he bunks in my bed or ill be in his room until he falls asleep," Donnie told him and started picking up the paper plates.

"I'm sorry Don, Leo" Raph looked down at the table.

"You didn't know Raph," Leo told him and gave him a hug.

"I don't want him sad Leo," Raph told him and started to cry "I want him safe,"
