Poseidon and Athena secretly visit Percy and Annabeth's kids some nights. When they're babies, it's to help keep the kids calm so Percy and Annabeth get some rest. But as they get older Poseidon starts to tell stories about merpeople and great sea creatures while Athena sticks to relaying pieces of wisdom she's picked up over the years. They never cross paths until one night they accidentally both show up at the same time and agree to keep each other's secret.
Percy and Annabeth always wonder where their kids keep getting the stories they tell them on the way to school.
