Warning: Mary and John and the boys would never be this mean in the normal 'verse, which is why this is an AU. That's the only thing that's changed, though, besides the fact that Michael isn't a complete dick and Lucifer isn't at war with Michael and the other angels. Plus, Gabriel is back! :D

Also, the song is how you feel when you run away, but you probably knew that XD

----

"Go to your room, Y/N," your mother, Mary, snapped. "You're distracting your brothers too much."

You shot her a death look, before shoving your chair back from the counter. "Like always." You snapped back, making everyone look at you in surprise. You never raised your voice or got rude with any of them.

But honestly, you were so damn fed up with everything.

It had always been this like this. Your parents didn't seem to care  about you, unless you got bad grades or got in trouble at school, or basically anytime  you did something wrong. It was always Sam was so amazing with this, or Dean was so talented at this, and always Y/N messed up again. Your parents were always praising them, and gently correcting them if they did something wrong. Clearly, you'd done something to them.

"Y/N--" John began, brow furrowing.

"Save it!" You threw at him. "I know I'm grounded again. But whatever. I'm never good enough for you, anyway."

Everyone stared as you stormed up to your room, growling obscenities at your stupid family, but the minute your door was slammed closed and locked and bolted against your enemies, aka your family, you had to fight back tears. It hurt so damn much that they always found fault with you. Even Dean.

You collapsed on your bed, and checked your texts. But the thought of your family hating you proved too much, and you started crying. At first, you fought the tears, but then eventually gave in.

You sobbed until you couldn't anymore, your head pounding and your chest heaving. Honestly, you wanted nothing more than to leave. You could never seem to, however. Whenever you were always ready to run, you lost the courage to. Maybe they still love me, you told yourself. Maybe I can fix whatever I did wrong.

There was a knock on your door. "Y/N?" Sam asked softly. "Are you okay?"

You glared at the stupid locked door, but reluctantly got up and unlocked it. "What do you want?" You snapped.

Sam's eyes widened. "What happened? Why are you crying?" He gently pushed the door open.

You turned away. "Mom and Dad hate me. So does Dean." You mumbled. "And you probably do too."

"Y/N, that's not true." He said quickly. "We all love you. Especially me."

You huffed at him. "Then why do they act like they don't love me?"

Sam was silent for a moment. "I don't know." He murmured, and pulled you into a hug. You reluctantly wrapped your arms around his waist.

You knew you had to run away. This time, you were actually going to. It might hurt Sam, but he would probably forget about you soon. Everyone else had.

"Sam? Jessica's here." Mary called up. Sam pulled back.

"I have to go," he said apologetically. You nodded.

You just shrugged, harshly rubbing the last of the tears from your eyes. "Go on." You muttered. "You have more important things to think about."

"Y/N--" Sam began.

You cut him off. "Just go." You said bitterly. You couldn't really blame him for Jess' timing, but you did anyway. In this state, you blamed your entire family for all of your misery.

You closed your eyes tightly as Sam hesitated, then left with a soft "I love you". This was a good time to leave; Sam was going out, Mary was going to hang out with some friends, and Dean and John were going hunting.

You opened your eyes once the danger of more tears was past, and then went to your closet to get a small clothing bag.

You started to pack everything you would need.

Everything else was useless.

~*le timeskip brought to you by an angel with a shotgun who loves a certain hunter* *about a year later*~

Gabriel had found you nearly a year ago, drenching wet and cold, and  near hypothermia, as you were running away. He'd taken you to a safe  place, and introduced you to five of his brothers.

Castiel, Lucifer, Michael, Raphael, and Balthazar.

You'd warmed up to Cas almost immediately because of his awkward, but adorable, attitude towards everything. He knew almost nothing about your world, and you were thrilled to teach him about everything. And the occasional prank was hilarious, too, of course. Okay, who were you kidding? You and Gabe pranked him quite often.

Balthazar often made you giggle uncontrollably when he said funny things in his French accent, or acted as though you were a queen, which was surprisingly often. He often brought you books to read, and took you to anyplace you wanted to go. You had some of the most thrilling adventures, and you loved every second. And of course, the fact that he never let you stay in anything less than a five-star hotel when you were traveling abroad. The other angels often popped in, too. One time, he let you get drunk on red wine....

Let's just say every potato in the vicinity was honored.... And Michael nearly had a meltdown when Balthazaar brought you home, giggling and fangirling about the majesty and glory of potatoes. But now, no one let you forget that night. They used it to blackmail you when you were being unusually stubborn.

Then there was Raphael. He wasn't too bad, but he definitely wasn't your favourite angel of the bunch. He was rather cold sometimes, but he definitely knew how to figure out what you liked the best, and he was pretty quick to defend you if he had to. And he was the most observant. If you were down, or sad, he was usually the first to notice, surprisingly, and probably sent out a silent message via some sort of angel magic to his brothers about your mood.

Lucifer was one of your favourite angels. He was the best one to curl up with and read, or binge-watch a show, or talk to about your feelings. He knew how to comfort you, and always tucked you in at night, even though you were nearly sixteen. He also kept a close eye on all the boys you dated.

Then again, all six did. You would hate to know what would happen if a boy broke your heart... He would probably never be heard from again, unless you convinced your guardians to have some mercy. And by some, you meant the most minuscule amount in the entire freaking world. They were ruthless when it came to your happiness and safety.

Michael was actually really nice and funny once you got to know him. He was by far the most protective of you when it came to anything, and the most careful. He was always guarding you, whether he was visible or not. You once asked him if he had to run Heaven, because Gabriel had told you he was Heaven's Commander, and the oldest archangel told you that he checked in daily, but guarding you was more important if it came to it. You had giggled and hugged him. He had simply smiled and hugged you back, and from then on, you two grew closer and closer.

Then there was Gabriel. He was hilarious, sweet, loving, and rather crazy. To be honest, he probably knew your wild side better than any of his brothers, even though it made daily cameo appearances. Everyone also knew to keep an eye on both of you when any amount of sugar was in the vicinity. The last time they had left you up to your own devices.... Well, everyone's room got a makeover along with the Angels themselves. It was awesome.

You looked up to the six angels, honestly. You were their princess, and they were your family.

In the end, it all worked out.
