We were sitting there relaxing in the perfect weather for a good few minutes when we suddenly heard a sound and a head pop up over his fence.  “Chase!  Hi!” a very squeaky and unappealing voice called.

I looked at him and his face contorted into a grimace, “Uh…hey Charity.”

I then peered over at the head peeking over at the fence and my jaw dropped.

All I saw was her face and she was beautiful.  Gorgeous.  Perfect almost.  She had little china doll lips, with big very bright green eyes, and what looked like long dark brown hair.

“Who’s this?” She asked, and it was clear that her one fault was a big one…the most irritating voice I had ever heard.

“This is my girlfriend Abby, Abby this is my neighbor Charity.  She just moved in a few weeks ago.”

I could hear the displeasure in his voice loud and clear.

“Nice to meet you Charity.” I said sweetly.

She just stared at me.  “Girlfriend?”

“Uh…yeah.” He said.

“Well isn’t that nice!” She screeched.  “She’s…got bright hair.” She laughed unhumorously. We were both looking at her with concern.

“Well, we’re going to go inside.  It was nice seeing you Charity.” Chase said, grabbing my arm and pulling me away.

She was still smiling like a crazy person as we slid the door shut and moved away from view carefully.

“Something tells me that we’ll be being more of her very soon.” I commented.

“I see her almost every day peeking over at me.  It’s disturbing!  She’s getting more and more stalker-like as time goes on…”

I giggled, “You have a stalker!  That’s fun!”

“No! It’s creepy!  I have a girlfriend!  That’s the closest thing to a stalker I’ll ever need.” He said hugging me.

I laughed. “A girlfriend is close to a stalker?”

“No, but it’s a person infatuated with you that you’re infatuated back with, so that’s about as close as I want to get.”

I nodded, “Yeah, that makes sense actually.”

“What does?” We heard someone ask, walking into the room.

Trinity came into view smiling.

“We were just talking about stalkers.” Chase stated.

“Oh, because of Charity?”

“Yeah, she’s getting creepier all the time.”

Trinity’s mouth turned up into a smirk, “How strange.”

I narrowed my eyes at her and from the look on her face I was getting a distinct vibe that she was involved in Charity’s stalker acts somehow.

“Well, guess who’s going to be here in an hour or so?” She said.

“Who?”

“Grandma, grandpa, Tyler, and Chelsea.”

Chase groaned.  “Why?”

“They called a few minutes ago and you know mom, she doesn’t shut up, so she was talking to them about your girlfriend and now they want to come over and meet her.”

“But why our cousins?”

“Because they’re always with grandma and grandpa and have no life maybe?”

“But they’re about as irritating as they come! And Chelsea is psychotic.”

“Are they as horrible as my cousins?” I mumbled.

“Almost!  They’re just as bad, but in a different way.” He explained.

“How?”

“They’re just self entitled assholes, and then Chelsea has her own issues.” He mumbled.

“Yeah, they believe that you should cater to them and that they always deserve the best and everything they want.  Their parents are pretty well off, but are never home, so they give the kids whatever they want.  It’s really the worst.” Trinity explained.

“That’s kind of sad.” I commented. “They were probably kind of lonely.”

“Well, they go to this private school, and I guess they have friends…not too sure.”

“A private school nearby?”

“Yeah.”

I turned to Chase, “This is why I shouldn’t go to a different school!  What if you suggest that one to my parents by mistake?”

His eyes widened, “I don’t know…I don’t know what school they go to.”

“It’s one just a few towns over.  Kliensfield Academy I think.” Trinity clarified.

“Oh no.” He mumbled.  “It’s the same one.”
