A/N After a hardcore fangirling session by text, Melissa and I both, without meaning to -our only goal was to induce feels- created imagines with our favorite members... So this is the one I wrote to Melissa! I hope you like it and I'm positive it's my longest yet! :D - Mel

This was maybe the most exciting day of my life! I was staying in the same hotel as One Direction but also 5 Seconds of Summer. What if I bumped into them in the hotel? These thoughts were the only ones to cross my mind as I put on my pyjamas, ready to go to sleep as it was 10pm. My parents entered the room, telling me to go get some ice as they had brought me drinks and they didn’t want them to get warm. My parents had gotten a room for me and my best friend, Anna; we also had tickets to the Las Vegas show tomorrow night. In my pyjama pants and tank top, I headed down the hall with a bucket, still stuck in a daze.

I got into the elevator and pressed the button for the second floor, which was the floor with the washing machines and ice dispensers. We were at the 8th floor so I was more or less expecting the elevator to stop for a cleaning lady, or an employee to come on. As I thought, arriving at the 5th floor, the elevator stopped and I stood away from the door, not because I was embarrassed to be in my pyjamas -I seriously wasn’t, I’d never see them again so I didn’t care- but because I’m shy and I don’t think the first thing you want to see when you come on an elevator is a girl in her pjs with a bucket.

The doors opened and my heart stopped. Luke Hemmings was RIGHT there. He looked at me up and down, grinning before coming in the elevator. Oh my gosh. My legs were shaking uncontrollably at the thought kept passing through in my head. Luke Hemmings, LUKE HEMMINGS IS STANDING RIGHT BESIDE ME AND I CAN’T SAY A THING BECAUSE I’M SO NERVOUS. I continued to fret, barely noticing Luke saying something. “Sorry? I was… in a daze…” I explained, my cheeks getting rosier. “I asked why a pretty girl like you was standing in an elevator in her pyjamas at 10pm.” He chuckled, repeating himself. “Well, my parents decided that they needed ice for the drinks that they got me and my friend for our room… and so I was sent to the ice machine!” I laughed. “Why are you going to the second floor?” I asked him. “How do you know that’s where I’m going?” he asked challengingly. “Well, you haven’t pressed a button for a floor when you came in.” I explained laughing. “Right.” He said, I could see his face getting redder. He was so cute.

At that moment, the elevator doors opened and we both realized that we had arrived at the second floor. We talked as we both got ice, we laughed a lot and got to know each other, we were beginning to be friends. “I’ve just noticed that I don’t know your name!” Luke said out of nowhere, making me erupt in a fit of giggles. “Y/N at your service!” I smiled at him. “I’m Luke, but I think you know that.” He winked, giving me his dazzling smile. “Oh yeah? And how would you know?” I tested. “You’re wearing the guitar pick 5SOS necklace.” He answered as if he was waiting for me to ask. A blush rose to my cheeks as my hand instinctively to my neck to feel the cool chain.

We walked back, talking, towards the elevators. In no time, the doors opened and we both stepped in. “So… are you coming to the concert tomorrow night?” Luke asked, getting shy. “Yeah I am! I’m really excited! I’ve been waiting a year for this concert and it’s finally here!” I smiled broadly. “Do you have Twitter?” he asked randomly. This boy really had a way of holding a conversation! “Yeah I do it’s @Y/Twitter/N” I smiled. Luke took out his phone, went on Twitter and as I peeked over his shoulder saw that he had followed me. A smile crept on my lips as I rested my head on his shoulder. The elevator doors opened to Luke’s floor and both our faces dropped since we had just started getting to know each other. “I’ll DM you...” he said reluctantly, walking out of the elevator. The doors closed and I was sure that this wasn’t the last time I’d see him, I could just feel it.

A couple minutes later, the doors opened to my floor and I ran over to my room. I opened the door to have Anna screaming and jumping on the bed. “Anna…” I asked, closing the door, setting down the ice bucket and placing the drinks so they would cool. “LUKE HEMMINGS JUST TWEETED YOU!” she screamed, freaking out even more. My heart started to beat faster as I went to my phone to check. I logged onto twitter to see that my mentions were booming up from that tweet. Heart racing, I scrolled down to find it, resting there, with a bunch of favs, retweets and replies asking who I was. Just met a really cool girl while getting ice :) @Y/Twitter/N

This was surreal.

**A year later**

“Luke! It’s so good to see you again!” I said giving him a hug. They had stopped in my city to promote their debut album just to see me. I was so glad to see him again. We never stopped talking after we met. We DMed each other, tweeted and soon enough we we’re friends on Facebook where we talked all the time. We Skyped at least twice a month also, we were really like the best of friends… if only we were more… I hugged the rest of the boys as entered the room and we hung out all afternoon. We talked and talked and I couldn’t help thinking about how much I’d missed him.

“We’ll be back in an hour!” Luke yelled in the room for the other boys to hear. “Where are you going?” Calum asked poking his head around a corner. “On a walk…” Luke answered, cheeks getting rosier. “HE’S GOING ON A DATE WITH Y/N!” Calum screeched, running to Ashton who was in the room with Michael playing video games. Luke grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the elevators while a chorus of ‘OOOOOOOOOOOOH’s resonated through the room. I laughed and followed him, liking the feel of his hand in mine.

We walked until it was pitch black outside, only having the moon and a couple houses light the way. You could see most of the stars on a night like this and it was beautiful. We stopped and sat down, side by side, in the sand. “I really missed seeing you, you know that?” Luke said, breaking our comfy silence. “I missed you too.” I said, laying my head on his lap. We looked into each other’s eyes; his were more beautiful than all the stars above us. He slowly leaned down and kissed me sweetly.  “Will you be my girlfriend? I can’t bear the thought of only being friends.” Luke said pulling away. I nodded and put my hands behind his neck, pulling him down to kiss me again. “FINALLY! JESUS.” We both jumped at the sound of the boys’ voices that came from behind us. We turned around and they were further up the beach with a camera. “And this, boys and girl, was the start of a beautiful relationship, never to end.” Ashton said turning the camera towards him.

Then, at that moment, we all laughed but looking back now, I can’t help but smile at the thought that he was right.
