A/N I hope all you Calum girls enjoy this imagine! The idea came to me yesterday while I was waiting for the Canada day fireworks to start. I'm sorry it took a while to post it though! - Mel xx

We were sat on a hill, in perfect view of where the fireworks would be shot for the festival. We both laid down, not talking but enjoying this moment, enjoying being with each other. My head rested on Calum's chest, rising and lowering with the breaths he took. His arm was placed around me, protectively. I snuggled closer into him as he brought me closer.

The nice thing about our relationship was that we didn't press anything, we just let all the affection and its displays fall into place like a puzzle which meant that we had never kissed. I was saving my first for a little play I had made up in my head. I wanted to have my first kiss, with the guy I loved more than anything, while fireworks were lighting up the summer sky.

"How much time before the fireworks start?" I asked, looking up at Calum. "About 20 minutes or so..." He answered smiling. I slowly got up, earning a puppy dog face from my boyfriend. "I'm going to the washroom! I'll come back!" I said, going down the hill and entering the carnival.

I weaved myself through the crowd, searching for the bathrooms. I had finally found them when I felt a tug on my arm. A guy, about my age, was holding onto it. "Excuse me? Do you mind?" I asked annoyed. He looked me up and down, clearly checking me out. "You know what? Your pants would look even better on my bedroom floor." He said trying to be seductive. "These are shorts and I have a boyfriend. Goodbye!" I said trying to pull myself away. "It won't be as easy as that doll." He smirked, coming closer to me with the intention of kissing me. I couldn't run, I couldn't do anything but brace for it and hope that Calum wouldn't be mad.

I felt the guy's arm jerk away pulling me a bit with him. "Don't you dare touch my girlfriend!" Calum roared, standing in front of me. I opened my eyes to see the guy on the floor, a hand placed on his cheek where Calum had obviously punched him. He slowly got up before running away in the crowd, leaving me alone with my hero.

He took my hand, walking through all the tinkling lights, the laughter and the smiles before stopping. "Tell me I got there in time." He pleaded looking into my eyes. "Just on the dot." I answered trying to smile but I burst into tears. He took me in his arms, rubbing the small of my back, trying to calm me down. Above us came the first fireworks, lighting the sky up with orange, red, blue, yellow, purple and green. It was absolutely beautiful. I looked at Calum, realizing that his eyes were already on me, a little smile playing on his lips. He put his hand on my cheek, making me look up at him and slowly kissed me. I could feel that he had wanted to make a move sooner but my dream kept him in line. Fireworks lit up the sky, all the attention on them except ours. At this moment, we were alone in our own little world. "I've been dying to do that." Calum whispered in my ear. "I love you Calum." I smiled, resting my head on his chest, hearing his heart beating at a thousand miles. "I love you too, Y/N." he answered as the big finally was above us. It was too bad for them since we were still in our little world, just the two of us.
