Dad had me get up at 9, since he has to be at work by noon. It takes a little while to get to his work, so he wanted to see what time he got up and if he would make it on time.

The highschool I'm going to, Kokano, Tōkyō kōtō gakkō (Kokano, Tokyo High School), is pretty big compared to my last one in America. Well, that's what I've heard from dad. They sent me my school uniform, so I put that on when I got dressed. It was a navy blue with a red bow over my breasts, shortish skirt, black leggings, and black dress shoes. I put my h/l in a nice design of braids pulled behind my ears and around my head, as if I was wearing a sleeping mask, but not over my face.

Dad dropped me off at school, handed me the forms, and waited till I went inside to pull away from the parking lot. There were a lot of other cars out there too, probably from students and teachers.

The school wasn't as big as I thought, which was good, so I didn't get lost so easily. The door was suprisingly unlocked, so I walked in feeling warm air flow on me, since it was kinda cool outside.

Students were walking around, so I thought this was a passing period. Some whispered to people nearby them, probably weird seeing a girl they've never seen before walk straight into their school. I took a deep breath and started walking.

The school never gave me a map yet, so I went over to a map hanging on the wall near the entrance. I got my phone out and opened the translation app, but looked at my battery percentage. 20%.

Drat! I thought to myself. I thought I charged this thing. Oh well.

I shut it down, so I could use it to tell dad when I was done. It was a little harder to read the signs today, since I was a little nervous. I decided to start walking when I about ran into someone. We bumped into each other.

"Gomen'nasai (sorry)." A boy said.

"Sorry," I said, facepalming myself.

"Are you ok?" He asked me.

"Oh, yes. I thought you couldn't understand me."

"That's just fine. I'm taking English, so I'm getting good at this. Are you new?"

I got a good look at the boy in front of me now. He had shaggy brown hair, hazel eyes, kind of tan skin and some muscles. He was taller than me too. His uniform was a navy blue suit, a red necktie and black dress shoes.

"Yes, I'm new. My name is y/n l/n. I'm just looking for the main office to turn in my forms."

"Ok. I can show you the way." We started walking in the direction I was heading for originally. "By the way, my name is Oriqurika (Ore-qu-r-eka) Tsubasa (Su-bos-a), but my friends call me Ori-kun. Exotic name, right?"

"Yeah." I replied.

Ori was very nice, but I can't trust him just yet. I've gotten to know my other friends for about 7 years, so I know for sure they aren't secret Yanderes. They even know my fear of them.

Ori and I chatted some more until we got to the main office. We said our goodbyes and I went in.

It was a small little area, but big at the same time, ya know? There was a lady sitting at the front desk, so I walked over to her.

"Hello?" I asked her, not sure if she understood me.

"Dō nasaimashita? (may I help you)" she replied.

Double drat! I thought. I hade to try my best to speak Japanese off the top of my head.

"Watashi wa koko de, gensokutoshite, matawa kōchō o sagashiteimasu. Watashi wa Amerika kara no atarashī kōkan ryūgakusei, Y/N L/N no yo, (I'm looking for the principle here, or the headmaster. I'm the new exchange student from America, y/n l/n)" I attempted.

"Oh, hello miss l/n. Do you have your forms?" She replied in English.

"Yes," I said, as I took them out of my little satchel I brought to carry some extra papers.

"Great. I believe the headmaster will see you now, just let me tell him." She got on an inercome then started talking in Japanese. She stopped then told me it was ok to go back now.

His office was kind of small, but big enough for about four or five people. He was sitting behind his desk. He has black hair, brown eyes and a sleek black tux on. The name tag on his desk said Zurmicano Guthrie. I sat down in front of his desk.

"Hello y/n, I am Headmaster Zurmicano. It's nice to have you here. Let me explain some of the basic things you need to know here..."

Ori's POV:

I sat in English studying super hard for a test we were gonna have next week.

Hello, goodbye, how are you?

Simple.

What's your...ok, better try a little harder on that one.

My table mate, Grell Tsusede, was a little stunned. I looked at up from my text book at him.

"Nani? (What)" I asked him.

"Hey!" Mrs. Yuku yelled. "Only English in this class, Mr. Tsubasa."

"Yeah," Grell said, elbowing me. "English only."

"Shut up." I said, going back to my book.

"What's up with you?" He asked.

I looked at him again. His orange hair bounced on top of his head while his icy blue eyes shined. I like to call him "ninjin toppu" (carrot top), cause of his hair, just to tease him.

"What do you mean, carrot top?" I asked. Grell got a mad look on his face, meaning I translated right.

"You're studying like your some sort of robot trying to gain lost information. Why?"

"Cause, that test next week is a big part of our grade. I need a good one, or I'll be heald back a year." I lied.

Grell agreed with that, since he couldn't tell I was lying. I was really studying hard for y/n-chan. Man, ever since I ran into her, I fell in love with her. I wanted to start playing it cool till the time was right to ask her out. I couldn't wait till that day.

I was gonna learn asks much English as I can so I can talk with y/n-chan. I'm not sure how much Japanese she knows, or if she even knows any, so I'm gonna learn as much as I can.

I heard the bell ring for lunch, so Grell and I got up and headed to the cafeteria. I hope y/n-chan will be there...
