The drive to the hospital was unbearable. Melanie's sobs filled the car and Ian was sitting with her in the back comforting her.

"Shh.. Babe, it will be okay." Ian tried reassuring her.

"B- but... W-what if its not. What if I lose my m-mother!" She sobbed.

Anthony shifted around on the black leather seat. He felt like he was intruding on their personal lives. He had only met Melanie's mom a couple times, but Ian was much closer to her. It was still saddening to him to watch someone in such emotional pain. He gripped the steering wheel harder, and squinted his eyes in the darkness of the light. Turning off the freeway, the finally pulled into the hospital parking lot.

It was 11:30 at night, but that doesn't stop a hospital from being crowded.

When they made it to the front desk, Melanie practically screamed at the desk lady for her to see her mom.

Anthony decided to stay in the waiting area for Ian to come back. Anthony had nothing to do, so he decided to text Kalel and apologize for leaving so abruptly.

He pulled out his phone and started to write a text message, when he realized, there was no number to text.

'Damn it!' He yelled to himself. 'You finally find a girl who is perfect, and you didn't even get her number!'

He wondered if he would ever see her again. Considering he didn't even know where she lived. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted he could hear Ian's squeaky steps on the hospital floors.

"Hey man, I'm gonna half to stay here with Melanie tonight. She's a mess, and I think she could use me here to comfort her. Is that okay?" Ian said.

"Yeah man I totally understand. I'll bring you some clothes in the morning so that you don't stink." Anthony replied.

"Ha. Thanks man, you're the best. Take the car home and I'll see you in the morning." Ian said.

"Okay see you in the morning."

Anthony then left and was greeted with a cool burst of air when he walked into the dark parking lot. Finding the car was easy. Driving in it for a half hour with only he thoughts to comfort him, not so easy. All he could think about was Kalel. Her smile, her laugh, her intoxicating eyes.

Somehow he would find her again, he just didn't know when.
