Chapter 10

Hey guys sorry for such the long wait.  My computer broke and it took forever to fix and then I had to work so I haven't had the time to upload.  Hopefully from now on I will be better about it but I guess everyone says that right? ;) anyways sorry again and enjoy!

Chapter 10

I stumbled along after Derek as he lead me by my finger tips.  My lips were still tingling after our kiss.  I smiled to myself and felt my face and neck heat up as I thought about it.  I heard Derek chuckle in front of me.  We entered his house, or mansion, by the sliding glass door in the back after walking around his pool.  He lead me up the large winding, wooden stairs.  I looked around.  There was no one home.  Its like they all disappeared, even his dad.  As we walked down the hall Derek stared asking me questions.

"So how do you like your new house? is it very different from your old one in your old town?"  he turned to send a sexy smirk over his broad shoulder. 

"Um its nice.  I haven't really gotten used to it, I have only been there a few days.  Its a lot different then our old house though.  A lot bigger.  Our old house was kind of just a regular house not super nice but okay and we only had a backyard and close neighbors.  Now we have tons of property and no neighbors.  Its actually kind of opposite."  I suddenly felt a pang of homesickness in my gut.  I hadn't let myself think about it to much before now. Derek turned to look at me in my change of tone.  His eyebrows creased.  I smiled "I like having more property though.  Its really pretty here.  And everyone seems pretty nice too."

He smiled at me and turned to continue down the hall which seemed to be never ending.  The right side was all windows looking out over the forest behind the house.  The left side was a beige wall with a ton of white doors lightened by the windows.  The sky was starting to darken turning the hallway into almost a peachy golden tunnel.

'Where are we going?"  I said laughing.  he shook his finger at me.

"Almost there be patient."  A few minutes later we stopped in front of a door.  I could see the end of the hall now.  It ended in a set of double doors.

"This here is your room,"  Derek said motioning to the door we stood in front of. " my room is that one, only a few down from you.  And this hall ends in one of the master bed rooms.  No one lives in there."  I laughed.

"Well I would be happy to take the master.'  I said jokingly.  He looked at me and cocked his head and paused.

"HA HA" he said sarcastically, "Trust me if I was allowed to sleep in there I would."  He opened the door to my room and I looked around.  It was awesome.  There was a nice sized bed with light blue sheets and beige walls,  I could see the bathroom from the door.  There were large windows making the room bright and open.

"This is beautiful Derek! Thank you!  Of course I will only be staying here tonight.  I wouldn't want to take advantage of you and your family."  I said looking up at him.

"Of course.  And I really don't want you going back home.  I Don't want you with your dad.  You can stay here."

"And do what live with you?"  I paused, "Don't you think that would be kind of odd?  And your dad probably wont like it very much..."  I trailed off.

"It wouldn't be weird at all.  Bryan and the other boys live here.  And my dad wont care once he really talks to you and he knows what's going on at your house."   I shrugged.  I went over and sat on my bed then I laid down after feeling how comfy it was.  I sighed.  My back ached. 

"Calla, are you hungry?  We could go get something to eat downstairs." 

"Umm not really.  Thank you though."  I said smiling.  "What time are we leaving tomorrow?"

"Lets leave at 6:30 so we can get your stuff.  Ill see you in the morning.  He leaned over and kissed me on the forehead lightly.  So lightly I could barely feel his lips but I could feel the shocks that danced across my skin.

"Ok goodnight."

I had just finished putting my shoes on as there was a "Come in!"  I called.  Derek stood in the doorway looking sexy as ever in dark jeans and a gray t shirt.  He smiled.

"Ready?"

"Ready"

I jumped out of Derek's jeep and walked up the steps to my house.  I pulled out my key and unlocked the door and stepped inside.  I could feel Derek's body standing behind me protectively as I made my way upstairs to my bedroom.  I started throwing random clothes into a bag mostly jeans and t shirts and underwear and then pulled something out for me to change into.  I changed in my bathroom and opened my door and flinched.  My dad was standing in the doorway of my room.  Derek had stood up and faced him blocking me from his view.

"Derek."  My dad spat his name like it was poison.

"Mr. Warren."  Derek said slightly more polite but still not very friendly.  My dad leaned to look over Derek's shoulder.

"And Calla,  nice of you to come home after your night of whoring around my dear."  he said mockingly.  I rubbed my eyes tiredly and heard Derek growl lowly. Huh?

"Dad I wasn't 'whoring around'  Like I said we were doing a project and it went late.  I came home to change and now we r going to school."  I picked up my back from my bed and walked passed my dad into the hallway, Derek right behind me.  My dad reached out and gripped my already bruised shoulder.  I winced.  Derek growled and knocked his hand away. 

"Don't touch her." Derek said in a low voice.  My dad raised his eyebrows surprised.

"Fine.  I will see you when you get home Calla."  I glared at him and swung down the stairs and back into the car.  Derek slammed his door as he got in.  I jumped.  he was tense and shaking as he started the car.

"Derek?  its ok Calm down."  

'Its not ok.  He practically threatened you!"  he was breathing heavily.  His eyes turning black to blue again.  I Put my hand on his arm and he seemed to calm slightly. 

"Lets go to school and worry about this later, okay?"

He nodded and drove off. 

Once we got to the school parking lot we found a parking spot which was hard because there was a huge crowd of people  and cars stopped everywhere.

'What the heck?"  Derek muttered.  We got out and heard Bryans voice yelling.

"You son of a bitch! How dare you! she's mine!"  I stood there shocked as the crowd parted slightly giving us a slight view of Bryan holding another guy by the shirt with his fist raised.  Derek took a step forward and all hell broke loose.
