Chapter One

I accepted an offer that something big and unexpected was awaiting me.

Chapter One: Settling in.

Akemi Hana's PoV :

All of my furnitures and boxes were already fixed inside, I just needed to unload the boxes put the materials to their respective places. Since it was already late, I decided to do it the next morning.

My parents bought me a whole complex apartment. In which I was the land owner, the clients were mostly college or college students, and university graduates. Each room contain 1 master bedroom, a living room mixed with a small kitchen and a bathroom.

I didn't had to worry looking for a job since someone hired me where I would just take care of sheltered animals, also they were kind enough to give me a week to settle in. The pay wasn't too low or too high, but it was enough for paying rental, food and a bit of luxuries.

I went to my bedroom, the bed was already set, as well as other heavy furniture. I opened my luggage, and took my shower necessities and placed them into the bathroom. After finishing up, I brushed my teeth and changed into my pyjama.

I set up my alarm went to bed.

I was sitting near the river bank, crying my eyes out.

I was seven at the time, when my parents decided we're moving to Canada because dad we're promoted into some crazy job.

Being a kid at that time, I didn't understand how hard it was being an adult, or affording to take care of their own family.

I saw a weird orange feline, wearing blue goggles. It was still a child, but it looked happy despite of harsh reality.
The kitten was messy and dirty, despite of that I didn't care and petted the cat. It purred as I continued petting, without realizing Ichimatsu was sitting next to me.

"W-what are you doing here, Ichimatsu-kun?" I asked in suprise as I tried wipe the tears from my face

"...The cat..." he mumbled

"Eh?" I asked again not hearing what he just said.

"I said I was following the cat" Ichimatsu's voice raised "It's not like I was looking for you or anything, I just found the cat and started to... run away, so... I followed it"

I found myself staring into Ichimatsu, as our eyes met we both looked at other direction, getting shy for an unknown reason. Then my gaze went back to the cat, carrying it into my arms.

"I see" I petted the feline, feeling a bit disappointed "so you followed the cat"

"Yeah" he replied shortly. He was about to say something when he stopped himself, the he gazed at the river.

"Are you really going?" He asked

"Hmm?"

"Is it official that your family is moving to Canada?"

"Yeah, my parents already decided it" I sighed, I felt my tears were coming out again "I didn't want to leave the everyone behind, but I guess some things doesn't go the way we want"

"Of course it doesn't idiot" Ichimatsu said in a stoic expression, but it broke once he saw me crying and sniffling.

He panicked, he didn't know what to do. It was the first time he ever saw me cry, well not directly into him.

"Argh! Geez" he forcefully wiped my tears using the sleeves of his jacket "stop crying, you look ugly when you cry"

"B-but!" I continued to whined

"If you continue to cry I will toss you in the river" He warned me and I flinched that completely stopped me from crying "here, I wanted to give this to you before you leave, dad and everyone made it for you"

I looked at Ichimatsu's gift, it was a crystalize ball that has a four leaf clover and a cat paw at the bottom as a design.

"So you were looking for me!" I teased, but the I looked back at the present "Thank you for the present, Ichimatsu-kun."

On that day, the summer was cool. The sun was setting, everything seems to be so fast yet so slow. The sky looked much more beautiful than it usually was.

We both held hand in hand as we headed home.

"Emi-chan I want you to promise me --

*Beeep beep beeep bep bepp*

I was awaken by the sound of the alarm, I sat down to grab the alarm and to turn it off.

'Damn you alarm, I wanted to know what he was about to say'

wondering my promise to Ichimatsu-kun, then after a couple of minutes sitting I went back to bed and slept for another hour.

7:55

I checked the alarm and it was still early, I decided to boil water then grabbed my cup noodles. I poured the hot water in the cup, then covered the top.

While waiting for the noodles, I grabbed a scissors and stabbed each box then ripping of the tape one by one. It took me ten minutes just to open one small box.

I got tired halfway so I went went back to eat my noodles, I sat on the floor where the coffee table is.

While eating, my attention went to the concert tickets for Totoko-chan.

Date: 07, xxxx, 20xx
Time: 15:30
Come to our fishful concert that will bring you to an aquatic journey! We're bringing free mackerels!
Idol: Yowai, Totoko.

I looked at the calendar, and the concert was tomorrow. I immediately choked on my noodles, then ate as fast as I can.

It took me the whole day to clean the whole apartment, leaving me a three handful of garbage bags.

After cleaning, I decided to pick my outfits for tomorrow's concert.

It was a black hoodie, a leggings and a simple running shoes.

Time: 19:47

It was somewhat early so I decided to go grocery shopping.

While I was shopping, I heard loud chattering. When I turned around I saw the Matsuno brothers all present a couple blocks away from me.

My sweat dropped, then Jyushimatsu and I made an eye contact. Then I immediately gestured an 'x' sign, he nodded then started to nod.

Author's PoV :

" What's wrong Jyushimatsu? " Osomatsu asked "you've been shaking your head as if you're talking to someone"

"What are you talking about?" Jyushimatsu tried to faint.

"Osomatsu nii-san, it's normal. It's Jyushimatsu ni-san after all" Totty convince the eldest brother and gave up.

Jyushimatsu glanced one more time where Emiko was standing earlier, but she wasn't there anymore.

He sighed in relief to himself, he thought that he was safe from now. But he didn't realize that the fourth brother still suspect something was going on in Jyushimatsu.

He was determined to find what it was...
