Pranking the Boy Next Door Chapter 9

Chapter 9:

It’s been three days and now it’s the Fourth of July. I was wearing white shorts, a red bandeau top, and red converse. I also had some red lipstick, mascara, and eyeliner on too. Now I was just hanging out with my aunt in the living room, waiting for Spencer to pick me up. 

I shot up and pretty much ran to the door when I heard the doorbell ring. "Use protection!" My aunt yelled at me as I ran. "Auntie!" I said with a gasp. I heard her chuckle and I open the door. 

I couldn't help but check Spencer out. He was wearing blue board shorts and had on a tight fitted red tee where you can see his muscle underneath. He topped it off with some white sunglasses and black vans.

"Do you like what you see?" He asks with a smirk. I reply with a smirk of my own, "Do you?"

Yeah I didn’t miss him checking me out also. I took my sunglasses off from the top of my head and put it on. We walked off my porch and started walking toward the pier. As we walked Spencer put his arm around my waist and I couldn't help but notice how my skin tingled when he touched me.

We finally made it to the pier where the Fourth of July carnival was. "Ooooh! I bet I can beat you at the water gun game!" I exclaim, nudging Spencer with my hip.

"You're on!" He replies as we take our seat. An idea pops into my head. Just as the ball rings to begin, I kiss Spencer on the mouth. After that I turn and start the water gun leaving Spencer sitting there still in shock.

A ding of another bell finally brought Spencer out of his shock, but that ding also signaled that I won. I grinned and turned to him saying, "I told you I'd win!"

The man working the game gave me a teddy bear and I shook it in front of Spencer's face. "I won, I won, I won, I won!!" I kept singing over and over while doing a funny little victory dance.

Spencer chuckles at me before taking me over to a bouncy house race. We both hopped in line and waited for our turn. "I'm going to win this one too!" I inform him as we become first in line. 

In that moment a man blows a horn signaling us to go. We both race into the bouncy house and begin the obstacles. I see Spencer catching up to me so I stick my leg out and trip him. He tumbles to the ground, but when I begin to run again, his hand shoots out and grabs my ankle, making me fall right next to him.

We are both laughing as we roll over, and that’s when I realize how close our faces are. He soon realizes it too and we both just stare into our eyes. He begins leaning closer and closer to me till our lips brush. His lips were soft against mine and our kiss became more passionate.

The next thing I know his lips are off mine and he is up and running again. I gasp when I realize he did the same thing I did and I shot up and began chasing after him.

Unfortunately he won. I was pouting like a little kid as I finished. "Cheater!" I exclaimed.

"You started it!" He replies.

That got me to shut up. I was thinking of what to say next when he grabs my hand and leads me to the Ferris wheel. We give the man our tickets and hop on.

Once the Ferris wheel stopped, we were right up top and the first firework blasted in the air. I rested my head on Spencer's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my waist. The fireworks were blasted in the air as we watched.

I moved my head to look up at him, and he looked down at me. Just as the finale started, Spencer brought his lips down on to mine. It was soft, and quick, but it was enough to make my heart flutter.

The Ferris wheel started to move again and we hopped off. We looked at the time and decided that it was time to go home. We walked home hand in hand, not needing to talk as we were surrounded with a comfortable silence.

We reached my house and he pecked me on the cheek before saying goodbye and heading off to his house.

I entered my house and my aunt questioned me about the date before heading upstairs to bed. I followed her upstairs and got ready for bed before collapsing on it and quickly losing consciousness.

I woke up to a loud horn blaring, startling me so much I fell off my bed and onto the ground. Then a water balloon hits me right in the chest, soaking me. In that moment I spot Spencer on the ground laughing with an air horn lying next to him.

Oh he's going to get it. I run over to him, and before he could get away, I wrapped my arms around him and pull him into a huge bear hug. When I let go I see that I had accomplished in getting him wet too.

He was still smiling when he said, "Were tied now sweetheart!" I smirked at him and replied, "Not for long."

He cocked an eyebrow at me and I shrugged and pecked him on the lips before saying, "You might want to watch your back by the way."

With that I turned around and headed into the bathroom to change, but not before I saw the 'Oh Shit' look replace his smile. Oh I know exactly what I am going to do to get payback!
