The succeeding weeks have been so busy for Verna as she and Philip are preparing for the opening of their restaurant.
After one week nagbukas na ang restaurant nila. Bilang suporta sa asawa umattend din si Tomas ng opening ng restaurant nina Verna and Philip. Hands on si Verna sa pagma manage ng restaurant. Wala pang one month since nag open ang restaurant patok na patok na ito and Tomas is so proud of his wife. He even recommended the restaurant to some of his business colleagues. However, lately napapansin ni Tomas na sobrang nagiging busy na si Verna.
Nasa opisina si Tomas when he got a call from his son Kit.
Kit: (umiiyak) Daddy!!
Tomas: What happen Kit.
Kit: Mommy's not yet here. Ngayon ang release ng report card namin. Nakauwi na po lahat ng mga classmates ko and their parents pero wala pa din si Mommy to get my card. And she's not answering her phone.
Tomas: Sshh, dont cry baby. Daddy will be there to get your card okay.
Kit: Okay daddy. Bye.
Tomas: (called his secretary) Please cancel my next appointment. I'm going to Kit's school.
Kinagabihan
Late na dumating si Verna. Nadatnan niya si Tomas na naglalaro ng video games with Kit and Rachelle.
Verna: Hi guys! Sorry na late ako ng uwi. I've been so busy the whole day. Daming tao sa restaurant.
Tomas: Sa sobrang ka busyhan mo nakalimutan mo na ngayon ang release ng report card ni Kit. Ang tagal ka hinintay ng bata sa school.
Verna: I'm sorry nakalimutan ko. I thought next week pa yun. (lumapit kay Kit and hugged him) I'm sorry baby.
Kit: Its okay mommy. Pumunta naman si Daddy sa school eh to get my card.
Tomas: Baka naman yung pagpunta natin bukas sa beach house kasama mga bata nakalimutan mo na din?
Verna: Of course not. Sige na aayusin ko pa ang mga gamit ng mga bata na dadalhin nila bukas para maaga tayo makaalis. Mauna na ako sa inyo umakyat.
After makipag laro sa mga bata umakyat na si Tomas sa masters bedroom. Nadatnan niya si Verna na nakahiga na.
Tomas: (tumabi kay Verna. kissed Verna's shoulder and slowly removed the strap of her lingerie)
Verna: Tomas, inaantok na ako. Maaga pa tayo bukas. Matulog na tayo.
Tomas: Kung hindi ka pagod, inaantok naman.
Verna: Babawi ako sayo bukas. For now matulog na tayo.
Comes morning
Tomas is checking on his car na gagamitin nila papunta ng resort when Verna approached her. Mukhang problemado.
Verna:Tomas we have a problem.
Tomas: What is it?
Verna: Philip has an emergency and he cant attend the annual restaurateur conference in Singapore. I need to go to Singapore now to attend the conference on his behalf.
Tomas: But we're going to the beach house. The kids are ready.
Verna: Kayo na lang ang tumuloy. Pupunta ako ng Singapore ngayon. I needed to be there. Babawi na lang ako next time.
Tomas: You always complain about me being a workaholic but look at you now.
Verna: Hon, please try to understand.
