Chapter Four

Eugene

"Eomma, I'm... so happy for you. I never thought you would move on from appa, but seeing you like this now, today, getting married to your high school sweetheart, I've never been more proud. Thank you." I sat down as I finished my speech. I looked to my right to face my mother who had tears in her eyes. "Don't cry. You'll ruin your make up." I told her, patting away the tears that have fallen. She moved my hand away and brought me into a tight hug. I giggled as I looked over at Taehyung taking pictures on the dance floor. He was crowned king of photography for a night.

"Now, we will have the first dance as a married couple." The MC spoke into the microphone as Mr and Mrs Jung made their way to the floor hand in hand. Their wedding song was Diamond Ring by Jon Bon Jovi. During the dance, the MC invited the Maid of Honor (myself) and the Best Man (Hoseok, my new Step-Brother) to join the dance. We met at the dance floor and slow danced around our parents.

"This is a nice wedding." Hoseok commented.

"It is. It was set up really nicely." I agreed. We continued dancing and making small talk before the MC then invited the guests to join us on the dance floor. I saw Taehyung walking up to us and he sent me a goofy smile before tapping Hoseok on the shoulder.

"May I have this dance?" He asked, holding out a hand. Hoseok pulled away from me and femininely took my boyfriends hand.

"I'd be honored." Hoseok slightly bowed as they started dancing together. I looked at them and chuckled.

"They're so gay." I turned around and almost smashed into Jin.

"Oo, fancy seeing you here." He smiled.

"Hey. Enjoying the wedding?" I asked, returning the warm smile.

"Yeah, it's been really nice so far. I still can't believe your mother invited us all."

"It came off as a surprise to all of us, really. I'm sorry you're on the same table as Hana and Jimin though. It was set before everything happened." I apologised, feeling bad he was seated in between his ex girlfriend and her 'new' boyfriend.

"It's ok. I've got Namjoon and... somewhat Yoongi, but he's not being very social." Jin shrugged as he adjusted my necklace which seemed to be crooked. "You look nice."

"Aw thank you. Yo-" I was cut off by Hoseok and Taehyung laughing as they walked over here. "Did you two have fun?" I asked, and they nodded.

"May I dance with you now, my love?" Taehyung slightly curtsied as he awaited my reply.

"Yah! Can't you see I'm talking with Jin." I lightly smacked his forehead and he contorted his face.

"It's alright, Eugene." Jin waved us off as Taehyung started pulling me towards the middle of the floor.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Jung." Taehyung cheekily smirked as we slow danced next to them.

"How are you two enjoying the wedding?" My mother asked.

"I'm having fun." Tae and I said in unison before laughing.

"It's been really good so far. Everyone is so lovely and-" I was once again cut off by a voice I will never turn my back on.

"Yah, little demon." I turned to face her.

"Halmeoni!" I pulled myself away from Taehyung and almost jumped on my grandmother. "What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in so long! I missed you!" I squeezed her so tight that I almost made her stop breathing.

"Your mother invited me, for you." She beamed. I looked at my mother who was trying not to smile.

"Oh! Halmeoni! This is Kim Taehyung, my boyfriend." I introduced the two. My grandmother put her hand out for Taehyung to shake, but he went straight into a hug. "He's quite affectionate." I nervously chuckled.
