Eugene
"What's the matter, Eugene? You look stressed." Namjoon asked as I sighed while drying the cups.
"It's just wedding stuff. Taehyung and I have started planning and... Ah it's so much more than I expected. It's expensive, and there's just so much stuff that needs to be done." I explained with a yawn.
"Take the day off. Why are you here?" Namjoon threw a towel at me as I dodged it.
"I can't! I need the money, Namjoon. Taehyung and I both can't pay for the wedding. The more we both work, the more money we get for the wedding. It's as simple as that." I shrugged, stacking the dry cups next to the coffee machine.
"I wish I could fund you more money, but we can't financially afford to right now. We haven't been getting many customers." He frowned, seeming genuinely upset. I opened my mouth to reply, but cut myself off as the door opened.
"You get that. I have to handle the deliveries in the back." Namjoon said as he walked off.
"Oh hello, Eugene." Youngji wickedly smirked as she strutted in. I internally rolled my eyes as I laid them on her.
"Youngji! Seriously, are you stalking me?!" I furrowed my eyebrows as I sent daggers to her through my expression.
"Why are you asking me questions you already know the answer to?" She smiled sarcastically and all I wanted to do was smack that smile off her face.
"Just stop, please. I'm tired of it. It's not my fault that Taehyung doesn't want to be with you. That's an issue you need to take up with him." I let out a tired breath as I folded my towel and placed it onto the counter. "Now, can I get you a coffee? If not, please leave."
"Actually, yeah. I'll have a latte please." She bit her lip as she looked up at our menu, bringing out her purse and handing me the money for it.
"Namjoon, one latte please." I called out as he came back to the front.
"On it!" He beamed, making his way to the coffee machine. Youngji's eyes followed his every move, maybe making sure no funny business happens to her coffee, because trust me, if it was myself making her coffee... well let's just say it wouldn't be 100% coffee.
Once Namjoon was finished creating her coffee, he handed it to me before walking back to the store room. I took it over to a table with Youngji following behind me. I placed it down gently, careful not to spill it. As I went to walk away, she grabbed onto my wrist tightly, spinning me around to face her.
"Yah, sit down for a second." She nodded her head towards the seat across from her, and I hesitantly sat down.
"Um... yes?" I sat there awkwardly, not sure what was going to happen.
"Uh, um... W-who was that? The guy who made me coffee?"
                              I was not expecting that.
                              "Wha-what?"
                              "He's kinda cute."
                              "Oh my god."
"Could you set us up on a date?" Youngji asked as she took a sip of the coffee. "Woah, he makes good coffee too." Her eyes beamed with happiness.
"I'm... wait, I'm sorry, what?" I felt like my head was getting messed with. This couldn't be true. She's too obsessed with Taehyung to just fall into someone else's arms so quickly.
"Please?" Her eyes were huge as I could tell she had found her love at first sight, even when she denied wanting to date a real human.
"Um, sure, but... what about Taehyung?" I watched her sip her coffee before she looked down.
"To be honest with you, I got over him a while ago... I just wanted to see you suffer, and see how hard you'd fight for him. I wanted to make sure he was with someone trustable." Youngji confessed.
"So.. You just... I-I'm. I don't know what to say." I was befuddled and lost for words, stuttering on each syllable.
"You could start with a thank you." She scoffed.
"Excuse me?" I lowered my eyebrows as I leant back in my chair.
"Yeah. I'm not really trying to ruin your engagement. I just wanted to see how far I could push you until you cracked, but I cracked instead." She explained her theory as to why I should be thanking her, and I just sat there, not sure how to reply to her illogical statement.
"You're sick. There is no way in hell I am setting you up with one of my frie-" I was cut off when the door to the cafe opened again. I looked towards the back as Namjoon walked out, ready to serve the customer.
"Welcome to..." His voice trailed off as his eyes widened. Namjoon looked over at me, and my eyes wondered to the customer. My face dropped and my blood started to boil.
                              "Minah..."
                              "I'll grab a mocha, thanks."
