Your POV
We ran back to base and quietly into a supply room. We grabbed food, water and medical equipment as we didn't know when we'd be in contact with civilisation again. No one followed our plane after we left. Or maybe they just let us go knowing we were a lost cause.

Time skip to finding planet

We found a planet that looked deserted. It was like a never ending beach with sand dunes that stretched for miles but there was lots of big oasis' with palm trees.
We landed next to one of the biggest oasis' and set up a shelter. We dug trenches into the harder sand and placed soil in to grown crops. We planted tropical fruit like mango and pineapples. Life was good here, no one to hurt or kill us. That was until they came back to get us.
