All while Christina was attending school, James had been avoiding her. He didn't sit with her, he didn't talk to her, and he didn't speak to her. So instead, she decided to sit with Abby, Brooke, Maya, Kevin, and his friends. While she sat at the table eating together, James walked over to her and stood there. The minute he stepped over there, the whole entire mood shifted.

"Christina, can I talk to you for a second?" James asked.

Before Christina could say anything, she held the bottle of ketchup up towards him and squirted it all over his shirt and face. Everyone laughed as James stumbled back and wiped his face, glancing down at his shirt. Christina lunged out of her seat and grabbed a napkin, wiping his shirt and face.

"Are you okay, James?" Christina asked.

"I'm fine." James said as he shook his head at her and walked away. "Just.....forget it."

"What the heck, Abby?" Christina barked at her. "Why'd you do that?"

"Look Christina, James just wants to drag you down in the dirt with his fat and have someone to complain about his weight to." Abby said as she looked at her, watching everyone turn around. "We're your real friends. NOT him."

Christina hated her. In fact, she hated everyone in her "so called" clique. She held in her anger and sat back down in her seat.

She wasn't anywhere close to being done with Abby.

Meanwhile, Dr. August and Jayla was in court to prepare for the hearing on the case for Flora's husband on the drug, abuse, and attempted murder charge. The jury stood up along with the defense and the prosecution, waiting for the judge and the jury to announce the charges. Meanwhile, both sides had the chance to put in their last statement before hearing the verdict.

"To the jury, do not forget that Fredrick Rodgers here has embezzled an INCREDIBLE amount of drugs, put his hands on his wife, and is heavily involved in gangs along with attempted murders." The prosecutors said as he paced slowly back and forth in front of table. "He's guilty, and that's one more dangerous person that will be off of the streets."

As the prosecution sat down, the defense stood up and prepared their statement.

"Before you send this poor innocent man to jail, think about it. There's circumstantial evidence, and there's NOTHING solid and concrete that pins my client to any of that evidence." The defense said. "Think logically and strategically before sending an innocent man to jail. Thank you."

The Jury and the court stood up and prepared to listen to the opening statement.

"What do you find Fredrick Rodgers guilty on?" The judge asked. "The abuse charges?"

"We the jury find Fredrick Rodgers, not guilty on the abuse charges." One of the jurors read.

The jury wasn't surprised. Everyone waited for the next verdict. The drug charges.

"And what about the drug charges?" The judge asked.

"Not guilty."

Everyone in the courtroom gasped in shock. They thought that he was definitely going to be found guilty on that charge. Jayla started to shake and held Dr. August's hand, waiting for the next charge to be read.

"And the attempted murder charges?" The judge asked.

"Guilty."

Jayla and Dr. August cheered louder than the whole entire courtroom, hugging each other tightly while jumping around. Meanwhile, his friends and family weren't laughing. They sat silently and angrily on the other side along with Fredrick and Flora, glaring angrily at the other side.

And with that, the officers started to shift Fredrick out in handcuffs as he glared angrily at the two.

"You just made the biggest mistake." Fredrick shouted at the jury along with Jayla and Dr. August. "All of you!"

"Ooh we're so scared!" Jayla joked, taunting him as he left out of the courtroom.

As everyone left out of the courtroom, Dr. August stepped out with Jayla and dialed Numra's number. They waited out in the heat, preparing to leave. Jayla finally felt safe enough to go home.

"Hello?" Numra answered.

"Babe!" Dr. August smiled. "They found him guilty on Jayla's charge! He's going to jail!"

"That's great, hun!" Numra cheered. "That's good that he's finally behind bars."

"Did you want to celebrate tonight?" Dr. August smiled. "I'll pay for our dinner and everything."

"Mmm.....not really. I'm not in the mood." Numra groaned. "Wanna do it another night?"

Dr. August's face flushed into a depressing mood as he glanced at his phone.

"Numra, I already paid for our reservations." Dr. August sighed. "I thought that we were going tonight like you said?"

"Oooh, I'm sorry babe." Numra sighed. "I'll call you back, alright? I'm sorry. So so sorry. I'll even give you the money that I owe you for it."

"Alright." Dr. August groaned as he scratched the side of his head. "Bye."

Dr. August hung up the phone and let out a depressing sigh. He'd been waiting all night to spend with Numra. Jayla shook her head at him, giving him an angry look.

"I cannot take it, Chres!" Jayla said in a slightly loud tone. "How the hell do you let her treat you like this?"

"She just didn't feel like it, Jayla." Dr. August said in an irritated tone. "It's not a big deal."

"Fuck the dinner, Chres. Why the hell do you keep on giving her 150% when she only gives you half?" Jayla asked in a disappointed tone. "Hell, to seem like you're okay with i-"

"I'm not okay with it! Alright? I'm fucking pissed!" Dr. August shouted in an outburst. "I'm pissed and I'm angry that she's leaving, alright?"

Jayla stood there in the parking lot, listening to him. She could tell that he'd been holding this in for a while.

"I'm.......I'm doing everything I can to make her stay but nothing's working. Nothing." Dr. August said as he shook his head. "The real reason why I'm not begging her is because it's her family and I'd do the same thing she's doing. I just.......I've been in love with this woman since 9th grade. I even gave her a baby to make her stay but she misses her family."

"And say she does stay. Then what?" Jayla said as she placed her hands on her hips. "Do you see how she treats you now? She doesn't even appreciate you. She blows you off and seems to only connect to you when she needs you."

"Numra loves me, Jayla. She tells me everyday, so cut it out." Dr. August said, giving her a strict look. "She might not show it a lot but I know Numra best. That's just how she is."

"Well she sure isn't showing it." Jayla said. "What type of woman tries to build a family with a man then leaves him to raise both of your kids without even trying to compromise with you."

Dr. August didn't say anything. He looked away, folding his arms and scrunching his lips up.

"I would never do you like that and I've NEVER done you like that even though you forgot my birthday." Jayla said in a serious tone as she started to walk away. "That should tell you who appreciates you more."

"Well why don't you go to Rayan?" Dr. August asked. "He appreciates you as well."

"Because unlike Numra, I don't give up when I really want something." Jayla said as she stared at him from afar. "Besides, Rayan isn't the one that I want. If you know what I mean....."

Jayla tucked her lips in and walked off to her car, got inside, and drove off. Dr. August knew what she was saying. Jayla was telling him that he had a good girl waiting on him, yet he wasn't realizing it. But Numra had a different way of showing her love, but it wasn't as affectionate as Jayla.

Not only this, but Numra would be leaving for the army in a month.
