Talha's POV

Life was absolutely perfect!

Haha, joking.

Life was absolute hell! Yeah, that's the right phrase.

A very scary long haired girl is behind my bestfriend, who happens to be disturbing me and that led to the love of my life, assuming things which are not true. Never in my 26 years of life, have I been so scared, God damn I never even thought so much during my exams.

But this was far, way far from exams.

This was my love, my life we are talking about. "Talha, get up your late" my mother shouts from behind the closed doors of my room.

Get up? From the bed or the imaginary sleep your talking about mum?

I was never this nervous, not that kind where you can't sleep. But, still, here I was sleepless from yesterday. I was scared, shitless thinking about Safaa.

What is she going to think about me? Oh Allah, she's going to hate me!

I bathe, get into my clothes, drink my coffee and head towards my office. My palms around the steering wheel were sweating. Either way I have to face her. I lock my car, making up my mind, I enter the elevator. The Elevator binged and opened.

I took a deep breath and came outside and to my suprise, the first person I made eye contact with was her. Oh Allah, she was talking to someone on the phone, she saw me and stopped talking for a while. But soon she composed herself and looked away. I sighed, and went to my cabin.

All day I worked non stop, doing online conferences, looking up the reports, signing the paper work and all boring stuff. After going through the last set of files, I leaned back in my chair and was kneading my temples. I called my seceratory and told her to tell Safaa to see me. I said that and closed my eyes. But suddenly there was a soft knock on the door "come inside" I said.

Safaa, was standing near the entrance both of her hands fisted on her sides. She was biting her lip, looking down. My head was throbbing like a drum and Safaa coming here and biting her lip was just encouraging it to hammer more. I closed my eyes and composed my self.

She looked at me, frowning. "you wanted to see me, sir?" she asked me, completely composed. God, her confidence was scaring me.

In return I also frowned at her. "call me Talha, Saf" an alien emotion passed in her eyes, but she raised her eyebrows. "you asked for me, Talha?" she exaggerated my name. I didn't even like it a bit that she was behaving this way.

"Yesterday was nothing, Saf" I told her, suddenly looking at the files which were much more interesting than the girl standing in front of me. I heard her sigh. "meant nothing" she snorted "and you still can't see me in the eye and tell that?" I heard that, heard it clearly and felt it, even.

I tear my gaze away from those files and look at her. Her eyes told everything, but my girl wouldn't budge. Courageous! I grinned internally.

"She was no one, Saf. She came here to talk about something and then.." She cut me off.

"And then she sat on your table, unlike others and accidentally both of you started sucking each other's faces?" her words were filled with venom and my anger was boiling within me. I know that position didn't do justice, but how can she doubt my manners? My religion?

"It was not what you think, Saf" I sighed, frustrated. Safaa, gulped hard and closed her eyes for a brief moment, but when she opened them, they were dark, filled with rage.
