"Medieval times are upon us,
Having our colours fade to dull.
This plague we carry is too much for most,
Whilst others seem to be quite resilient.
Dreams die out in the eyes of the innocent,
Replaced with newfound hate.
We search for answers,
But only silence is discovered.
Ignorance takes over,
Whilst creativity is beaten to a pulp.
We now love only thine enemy,
And shame our true heros.
We'd rather dance the suffering away,
Even though singing would be best.
In what time did we discover we deserve this,
And in what time will it cease?
Now that our colours are gone,
We lost hope for the future.
We sit idly as we cheer unison about the latest destructive projects,
And not once bother to contemplate disasters.
Children and adolescents weep in fear,
With adults mocking their new culture.
No one steps aside to realise the idiocy of these events,
For the adults shape most of a youth's life.
No warnings,
Only sudden dips into the deep end.
No mercy,
Only bloodshed.
No love,
Only fear and hatred.
No education,
Only venom shoved in our heads.
Even as our mother dies,
We pretend to care as we continuously trash her.
We'll move on if she dies,
That's just life, right?
Maybe,
For life then would be non-existent.
Knowledge dies out in a wave of resources,
And hate spreads in a century of love.
How is it we survive on hypocrisy,
And how is it we don't bother to question anymore?"
