A week later Lauryn goes to Long Beach to visit Brea & Marcus
Lauryn: (sitting on the bed) Man Brea I didn’t drive here in this California traffic taking me almost 3 hours to get here when its supposed to only take an hour to sit in this apartment we supposed to go out so I can experience the college life
Brea: Heffa shut up cause first of all u only 17 so I can’t take u to any clubs & I really don’t feel like going to any house parties cause I feel sick (laying across her bed)

Brea: (sticking her middle finger up at Lauryn) Eff u & no I don’t got nothing like that & if I tell u what I think is wrong with me u can’t tell anyone not yo parents, not mine, not yo sisters & damn sure not Chres cause u know u got a big ass mouth

Brea: (looking at her) Girl bye

Brea: Lauryn I’m not playing don’t let this leave this room cause only Marcus knows this but I think I’m pregnant
Lauryn: (shocked) Wait hold on rewind did u say u think that u are pregnant
Brea: Yes I did heffa

Brea: I’m not but I don’t know yet I have to make a doctor’s appointment cause from what I seen how our mothers & aunties were when they were pregnant & learning stuff in school I have the same symptoms that’s why I been sick
Lauryn: Well damn & they always thought me & Chres would be the first kids to bring home & grandchild but did u at least take an EPT
Brea: No cause I’m scared to
Lauryn: I would be too but u should take one while I’m here (thinking) damn auntie Bee & uncle Prod gone be mad

Brea: Shut up & I swear to god if u tell anybody Lauryn I’m a kick yo ass & that’s not a threat it’s a promise
Lauryn: (smacking her lips, with an attitude) Ok whatever
They leave to go get the EPT

Marcus brother Matthew is in town to see him from college he goes to Morehouse & they are hanging out together since Lauryn is with Brea
Matthew: So baby bro house was yo first year of college getting out experiencing something new
