Alice actively tried to shock people.
She claimed she didn't. If anyone asked, she would say that she just really liked bright indigo lipstick, that she hadn't realized she was breaking the dress code, that she hadn't even noticed she was drawing a dead body.
She managed to convince herself, as well, that it was just who she was, though deep inside, she knew it wasn't. Alice wasn't the girl who could communicate with ghosts. Alice wasn't the girl who wrote crude phrases and swear words up and down her arm with Sharpie. Alice wasn't the girl who wanted to work as an assassin and theorized on how she would kill everyone she knew.
She liked to pretend, though.
Right now, though, she wasn't drawing or thinking about murder; she was sitting on her bed, trying to get her online friend, London, to respond to her. His username was PumpkinPooper, which Alice thought both ineloquent and stupid. She had asked London about it once, and he had said it was funny. Alice did not think it was funny.

London: haha, okay. well, sorry, but if it's not important, i have to go. i have a lot of homework.
Alice: Oh
Alice left the chat and went to wraithsandrings's profile page. That was Jaiden. She hadn't talked to him in a while.

Jaiden: LOL.
Jaiden: Hi.
Alice: Hello
Jaiden: How R U?
Alice: Im bored

Alice: Its fine I just need someone to talk to

Alice: I know

Alice: I drew a dead guy

Alice: He was hung up by his feet on a hook. His stomach was cut open and his entrails had been used to strangle him to death
