Kendall POV
I walked out the studio. I did a good deed for someone in need. Oh I am so going to patent that saying! Someone probably already has said that before, but oh well. It's mine now. Anyway, I got into my car and drove to my house.
My phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID. Dad? What does he want? I picked up the phone. "Yes Father?"
"Don't pull that good son bull crap on me." Why, why did I even pick up the phone. "Well Father, I can't pull the good son bull crap on you because I'm not your son anymore right? If you want your son I can gladly give you Brad's number, but I assume you have it already because he's your son." He sighed.
"Kendall don't start." I laughed. "I didn't start this you did." I heard a bang noise. "Damn it Kendall listen. I am your Father, so at least show me some respect." I was really trying to pay attention to the road. I figured it was dangerous, so I pulled over. "Show you some respect?! You need to show me respect, it needs to mutual Kyle."
"What did you call me son?" I rolled my eyes, "I said Kyle, that is your name right?" I heard him breathing heavily. "I know about the deal. You paid for that art studio and gave it back to that girl!" I shook my head. "What're you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb with me I know you did!" I sighed. "Dad, I'm driving and I cannot be on the road with your rage, goodbye."
"Kend-!" I hung up before he could say anything else. "Waste of my got damn time." I went back on the road and drove. I pulled up to the gate and put the code in. I pulled up the driveway and parked my car in the garage.
I walked up to the front door and saw two large men. "Kendall Schmidt?" I looked up at them. "Who the hell are you?" They took over their sunglasses. "You father has bought your contract for your house, you have been moved out." I looked around. "T-this is a joke right?" They shook their head.
"I have my fucking daughter in there, a-and I'm just getting put out!" They nodded. They pointed to the trucks. "All your stuff is ready to move, just tell them where you wanna go." I ran my hands through my hair. I muttered, "So much for my custom...everything." I saw other guys come out holding Kaylie. "Hey get your got damn hands off her!" I grabbed Kaylie from them.
"Daddy, they told us we had to leave." I looked up at them. "You guys have some kind of card or something?" They nodded and handed them to me. "Expect to hear from my lawyer and the police because they will put your asses in jail I'll make sure of it." I went down to my car and put Kaylie in.
I guess we were going to have to crash at a hotel for a couple of days, or weeks, or months. I told the guys who had the moving trucks to put all the clothes and Kaylie's toys in my car. They did and they put the rest in storage. I went to a five star hotel. I grabbed Kaylie's hand and I walked in.
"Can we please have the biggest room in your hotel please?" The lady at the desk nodded and I swiped my card. "Oh, sir you have insufficient funds." How the fuck? "What, that can't be right." She typed something, "They were pulled out by a Kyle Schmidt."
So he's just going to throw be on the got damn street. I laughed. "I'll be back, thank you." Kaylie looked up at me. "Are we not staying here?" I looked down at her. "Eventually we will." I got into the car and I had to think up a plan. "I have other money somewhere I know it, oh yes I remember." I have stock in Darren's company and a lot of it. A lot of it. Darren wouldn't be back for another two days because he was on a business trip.
When Darren gets back, I'll just ask him to open up my account I have with his business. I checked my phone to see how much I had in it. "Oh thank god." I had a good five million still left left in there. I held my chest. "We aren't sleeping on the street Kaylie." She put her hands up. "Yay!" I laughed. My father was not and I assure you, not going to get away with this.
I was fired up, he was going to go down harder than ever. It'll take time what I have in mind, but it'll be so, so worth it. I had to figure out where we were going to stay for two days until Darren came back. On place popped in my mind.
Katelyn's.
Ugh, it's going to be so awkward with her parents and crap. I called her. Her phone rang, rang, then she finally picked up. "Kendall what's up?" I sighed, "Katelyn I am in such a huge, huge terrible, bad, desperate situation. May I crash at your place? I literally have no where else to go. Don't do it for me, do it for Kaylie. If you want Kaylie to sleep in the house, I'll sleep outside-." She cut me off.
"Kendall, I'm doing it for both of you, neither of you are sleeping outside. Come on over." I sighed in relief. "Oh thank god. Are you parents there?" She chuckled, "Actually you've got great timing, they just went on a trip for a week, so it won't be awkward." Wow this was so working out for me.
"Alright, I'll be over soon." I drove to Katelyn's house. "Where are we staying?" I looked in the mirror at Kaylie. "We're going over Katelyn's house and have a sleepover." She smiled. I may have had a smile on my face, but boy I was so beyond pissed. You don't even know like, oh my father is so, so going to the ground. He won't ever mess with me again.
I pulled into Katelyn's drive way. I helped Kaylie out the car and we went up to the steps. I rang the doorbell. A few seconds later someone opened the door. It was Holden. "Uh hey Holden." He smirked. "You know I like you better now, who's this?" He pointed to Kaylie "She's my uh daughter, long story." He nodded, "I would love to hear it sometime." I heard Katelyn come down the steps.
"Oh for god sake Holden let them in." He put up his hand and pulled the door back wide enough so we could get in. Kaylie went in first then I went after her. "Thanks Katelyn for letting us stay here, my father screwed me over real bad, well if I didn't have money left over, but it was still bad." Katelyn sat on the couch.
"Holden, go give Kaylie some cookies." He nodded and led Kaylie to the kitchen. "What happened?" She asked. I told her the entire situation. "He did that to you!" I nodded, "Yeah he did. He such a terrible person, I honestly can't even call him my father anymore. He's going to go down hard for this, and I'm going to make sure of it."
She nodded. "I'm so sorry he did that." I shrugged, "I'm just glad you let us stay here." She smiled. "Where are you gonna stay after two days?"
"I'm going to stay in a fancy hotel master suite with Kaylie. Until I buy a new house." She shook her head. "This is so messed up." My phone rang. Speak of the devil. "What?" I said through my teeth. I heard him breathing but he didn't say anything. "You aren't gonna get away with this, believe me Kyle Francis Schmidt I will make sure you burn to the ground. You made a big, big mistake and this time it's not going to slide. Your whole entire world will come crashing down on you faster than you can say oh shit. Don't call me ever! You are gonna pay for this for putting me on the street! Got damn it! I AM DONE WITH YOU! OH YOU ARE GONNA WISH YOU NEVER MADE ME OH YOU ARE GOING TO WISH!" I hung up the phone and Katelyn rubbed my shoulder.
"I am so, so mad I can't even see straight." Katelyn came over and gave me a hug. I didn't even hug back. I was too busy boiling with anger. I stood up and called someone that could really, really help me.
"I need you to hack into Schmidt Industries' personal communication, emails, phone calls, voice mails. EVERYTHING! ALL OF IT! And you tell me exactly what you found!"
What did you guys think? Kendall's in a bit of a predicament. Until Next Time.
