Sorry for the waits. Enjoy.

Katelyn POV

"Ugh, it's raining outside today," I said as I sat on the couch. Holden came down.

"I was gonna go to the park and play some b ball, but-." I interrupted him.

"Cause it's raining right? It sucks." He looked at me confused.

"OH, no I was going to go to the park and play b ball but my favorite show has a marathon!" I gave him a weird look. I guess people play basketball in the rain. Holden ran up the stairs and to his room.

I looked back to the TV and sighed. I was so bored. I flipped through the channels for a bit, then went to look out the window. I watched the rain droplets go down the window and slide down to the window seal.

I walked away from the window and looked at the time. "6:00pm." I guess I should start making dinner. My mom and dad extended their vacation, so it was just Holden and I. I knew he wasn't going to make dinner, so it was left for me to handle.

I went into the kitchen and got on my iPad. I started looking up recipes. "Oh all these look, so good. Hard to choose." I knew Holden didn't want anything fancy, he was good with a bowl of cereal for dinner. I finally settled one. I clicked on the recipe and began to get out what I needed.

I turned on the stove and put the pot on the burner. As I was waiting for the pot to heat up a bit, I thought about Kendall. He hasn't called me all day. Something must be occupying him. The pot finally heated up and I began following the recipe.

After a while I was nearing the end of the recipe and it was smelling so good. After all I am a chef.

"No you're not," Holden said. I jumped at the sound of his voice. "I knew what you were thinking." He smiled and went away.

"When you don't get this delicious dinner I made you'll be sorry!" I yelled, but he probably didn't hear me. I prepared the plates  and starting putting food on each of them. I gave Holden extra broccoli. He still acts like a child and won't eat his vegetables.

"Holden time for dinner!" I heard soft feet coming toward the kitchen door.

"It actually smells pretty good. You might be a chef, grasshopper." I glared at him as he happily got his plate and sat down. He got a fork and was ready to dig in. "Aww you gave me more broccoli on purpose didn't you?" I held my hands up.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."  He rolled his eyes and began eating.

"How is college going Holden?" He froze. I raised my eyebrows.

"Uhh yeah it's going great yeah." Damn lie. I put my fork down and crossed my arms.

"Oh yeah? That's good. What're your grades like?" I waited for his answer.

"Um they are so good." He snapped his fingers at me and pointed.

"Ahem." He looked up at me and smiled. "What's going on?" He sighed.

He said in a low voice. "I dropped out." I put my hands on the table and leaned in.

"You what?" He looked up at me. "You said you dropped out? What do you mean you dropped out?"

"I dropped out as in I don't go there anymore." I shook my head.

"And Mom and Dad don't know a damn thing do they?" He shook his head.

"Nah, I didn't tell them. I knew they would freak just like you." He ate some of his food. I looked at his face. School was always so hard for Holden and to add on top of it he didn't like it either.
