Suspicion
Chapter 10
Brandon's POV
I walk in with Callie and apparently everyone is in the middle of supper. Stef and Lena come over and hug us. "Hey guys, where have you been?" Callie looks at me before speaking to them. "Brandon and I had a bunch of errands to run so we thought we'd make a day out of it. Anyways, I'm hungry so let's eat." I laugh at Callie's obsessive cravings for everything. Some guys would think that it's weird, but it's such a turn on for me.
Mariana is the first one to address me. "So Brandon, any more thoughts about going on tour?" I take a bite of pasta before answering. "Maybe at some point, but I want to go to college first. Obviously I'd be majoring in music performance with a vocal and piano concentration." "Sounds great." She then turns to Callie. "What about you Callie?" She bites her lip, a habit she always does when she's nervous. It's freaking adorable. "I'm planning on going to college and majoring in music performance as well. I'd do a vocal and guitar concentration. Besides, Brandon and I could form a duo at some point."
I consider that for a minute. Callie and I performing a duo is an awesome idea. We've never performed live together, but now that's on my list of goals to do one day. Thank you Mariana! Jude remains quiet throughout dinner. Before heading upstairs to practice some music, I pull off to the side. "Jude are you feeling okay?" He puts on a tired smile. "I'm fine. I'm just really tired. Connor and I had a seven hour long video game session without any breaks other than bathroom ones." I raise an eyebrow at this. Jude said this rather quickly and almost hesitated when doing so. "Are you sure?" He nods and makes his way to his room.
Jude is a smart kid. I can tell he is suspicious of Callie and I. One slip up and he'll catch on to our plans right away. I don't mind him finding out when the time is right, but it needs to stay a secret for now.
