Briar's pov
As I'm walking to class I feel a hand go over my mouth. I see if anyone else is around but it's just me and this person. I try to scream but I can't because they have a firm grip over my face. Then I feel myself being dragged into a cupboard. The person pushes me in and shuts the door. As they leave I see a strand of straight, brown hair on the floor. It looks like Abi's hair. As I'm about to bang on the door, I feel something hard hit me. I turn around to see Lexi. She starts punching me, kicking me and throwing things at me.
About two minutes later, she has me down on the ground ,with blood pouring all over the floor, and I can't move. I can barely breath and the pain is so excruciating. Suddenly the door lock and I hear two voices outside.
"Great team work Lex."
"Good job on grabbing her Abi."
It was Abi! But then, everything goes black.
Myles' pov
Abi and Lexi just arrived late to class. However Lexi had a bit of blood on shirt. I have no idea what they just did, but it can't be good. Abi sits down next to me and the teacher walks out of the room to get something. Then Abi kisses me and tries to turn it into a make out session. I push her off.
"Abi no." I say.
"Why not babe?" She asks.
"We're in the middle of class." I say.
"Fine later. Come to my house tonight and I'll give you a show." She whispers in my ear so no one hears.
We're what, 13? I am definitely not going to her house tonight or any other night.
I look over to where Briar sits to see who's picking on her. But when I look, she isn't there. Briar never misses school, where is she? Something isn't right. Lexi and Abi coming in late, Lexi has blood on her shirt and Briar isn't here.
The teacher walks back in.
"I have to go to the bathroom." I say and run out the room.
"Briar? Briar?" I say and try to look for her.
I look in every corner and every cupboard but I can't find her anywhere. Then I see the cleaning cupboard. I open it and see blood all over the floor and Briar in the middle with her eyes shut.
"Briar!" I say as I rush over to her.
I lift her head up and try to wake her up.
"Briar wake up!" I say as I cradle her in my arms.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry ok! I regret doing it now, I hate myself for it. But Briar, please wake up! Please! I love you!" I yell and feel tears dripping down my face.
Someone must've heard me shouting because a teacher walks in.
"What the hell is going on?" She yells as she sees the situation.
"I found her like this." I say.
"I'm going to call an ambulance." The teacher says and runs off.
I cradle Briar in my arms and brush her hair off her face. She has a nose bleed, cuts all over her face, bruises and a black eye.
"Briar, I know you can't hear me but I'm really sorry about all the things I said to you. I didn't mean to. I feel like it's my fault that this happened to you." I say and kiss her forehead.
"I miss you Bri." I say.
A few minutes later the paramedics run in and put an oxygen mask on her. They put her on a stretcher and take her to the ambulance. I'm not aloud to go with her because it's in school hours. I walk back to class and sit back down in my seat. Abi tries to kiss my cheek but I push her off. She huffs and turns away.
I can't believe that she would do that to Briar. Wait, I can.
