When Byakuran from his time appeared in the Representative Battle, Tsuna was torn between hating the man or trusting him.
But when he saw Yuni smiling at Byakuran, he instantly chose to trust him, ignoring his friends (mainly Gokudera's) protests.
After the battle, he, Yuni and Byakuran would always spend some time together, just the three of them, alone. They knew that the battle of the future-that-may-never-be are still fresh in everyone's mind, but that doesn't deter the trust that they have between them.
A trust as strong as the trust they have with their Family. They can't really explain it but they know it in themselves that the other would never betray one another. That's a promise.
