"I promise I'll call you everyday." Grayson said holding your hands staring into your eyes. Tears kept falling down your face. Grayson was leaving for war. You wanted this day to never come, but it's here. "I love you so much." You whispered as you cried on his shoulder wrapping your whole body around his. You backed away from him as he grabbed his suitcases and started to walk to his plane. You fell to your knees balling your eyes out not caring that people were looking.

~today~

You waited in the airport chewing your nails. You waited impatiently to see the love of your life. People started to crowd out of the hallway thing from the plane. Your eyes bolted everywhere looking for Grayson. You waited for about 15 minutes and still didn't see Grayson. Finally the pilots walked out and you ran to them. "Is there anyone else on that plane?!" You asked your heart beating out of your chest. "No ma'm sorry." The one said and started to walk away with the other pilot. You started to ball your eyes out. You ran out of the airport to your car. You went to your friends house not knowing where else to go.

You knocked on her door four times and then stepped back. She opened the door and when she saw the years she instantly pulled you inside her house. "What happened?" She asked guiding you towards the couch. "Grayson...he-he never came out of the plane. He's gone, He's gone!" You shouted and started to cry even harder. She pulled you into her arms and hugged you tightly. "I'm so sorry. I really am." She said rubbing your back trying to comfort you.

It has been a week since you lost grayson. Your best friend had to go to the airport to meet her boyfriend after war. You came with her not wanting to be alone all day. You sat in a chair as your friend was pacing back and forth waiting for her boyfriend. Then there he was. With his suit walking out with a huge smile as soon as he seen her. She screamed and ran to him hugging him tightly. Tears starts to form in your eyes. You would've done the same if Grayson came back. But he didn't come out and you will never get to be held by him. His sweet deep soft voice. His perfect life. His amazing kisses. That's where you broke down. You started to cry silently while hugging your knees. Your vision was blurry and you stared at the hallway from the plane seeing everyone go different places. Another man in a suit walked out with two suitcases. He looked so familiar. You wiped your eyes trying to get a better look at the person. "Why are you crying?" Same voice. So soft yet deep. You stood up slowly not believing your eyes. You ran to Grayson wrapping your whole body around him. "I thought you were gone!" You said as you cried on his shoulder. "Why would you think that?" He laughed wiping away your tears. "Last week I was waiting for you at this airport and you never came out of the plane!" You said holding his hands. "You got the date wrong baby. It was this week when I came back. Not last week." He chuckled putting your hair behind your ear. "I'm just glad your here." You said hugging him again resting your head on his chest. He tilted your head up and leaned down and kissed you. You missed his lips more than anything. You kissed back harder making it turn into a full make out session. "Grayson?!" Your friend asked shocked he was there. "Yep." He smiled looking towards her. "I thought you were dead! Thank god now I don't have to deal with her sobbing everyday eating all my junk food!" She said with a small laugh. You stuck your tongue out at her and laughed. You walked away hand in hand with Grayson. Finally going to go home with the love of your life.
