Ch 14 Banners Return

It had been a week since the Duel Monster Spirit Day and no one had heard or seen Banner since the duel with Titan. Jaden was in his room sleeping and  dreaming about the wedding and how it would feel to be married and living a wonderful life. Meanwhile in Atticus' room a man in a mask accosted him and forced him to duel. In about ten minutes the duel was over and Atticus had lost. The masked man opened a book that he had with him and, in doing so, it transferred Atticus into the book itself. Suddenly, Alexis walked in on the masked man and she saw that Atticus was nowhere to be seen. She asked were Atticus was and he gave her no response but started his duel disk. Fifteen minutes later Alexis fell to her knees as her life points hit 0 and she was absorbed into the book like Atticus.

The masked man went into the woods and found Chazz thinking about how to get Alexis to leave Jaden and date him. Chazz saw the man and realized that he was the last shadow rider. Chazz said "prepare to get Chazzed up." The masked man didn't say anything and started his duel disk. In about a minute or two Chazz fell to the ground and like the others were absorbed into the book. The masked man laughed at the fact that he had taken down two key keepers and one of the former shadow riders.

Jaden was awakened by Syrus. Syrus said in a panicked voice "Jaden, Chazz has gone missing." Jaden then realized that Alexis had not come over to wake him up. Jaden got out of his bed and went to see if she was in Atticus' room. He saw that the room had been messed with and neither Atticus nor Alexis were there. Jaden then realized that this was the work of the seventh shadow rider. Jaden began to panic because both his bride to be and his soon to be brother-in-law were missing. Then it hit him that maybe the seventh shadow rider would be at the abandoned dorm for it would be the perfect place for a shadow rider to hide.

So Jaden made his was to the abandoned dorm and went to the basement to search for the shadow rider. He then came across a room that he had never seen before and went in. The lights were on and Jaden saw what looked like a coffin. He decided to open the coffin up. In the coffin was what looked like a mummy of Professor Banner. Then an evil laugh came from the room and Jaden looked up to see a man with a mask on. The masked man said "welcome Jaden, I'm am glad that you could make it. Now, let's duel. My name is Amnael." Jaden said "what have you done with my future wife and my friends?"

Amnael said "now, now, all will be revealed as soon as you beat me but remember that I hold your bride to be and your friends captive. So, let's duel, or are you afraid?" Jaden was afraid of losing his one true love but he knew that if he defeated Amnael that he would get his bride and his friends back. They both started their duel disks and said duel. Amnael said "I will go first, I draw, I summon Banisher of Light in defense mode (2000def) I will throw down two face downs and end my turn." Jaden said "my turn, I draw, I play Pot of Greed. Now, I get to draw two cards, now I play Polymerization to summon Elemental Hero Thunder Giant in attack mode (2400att). Now I use my Thunder Giant's special ability by discarding a card that has more attack points than the monster I want to destroy. Then I can destroy said monster. I now destroy your Banisher of Light and now I attack you directly." Amnael said "not so fast, I play my trap Ring of Destruction. Now we both lose life points equal to the monster that it is equipped to and I choose Thunder Giant."

Jaden watched in horror as Thunder Giant was destroyed and both Jaden and Amnael took 2400 points of damage. So Jaden was now open for an attack, so he threw down two face downs and ended his turn. Anmnael's mask began to crack and he took it off and revealed the person behind the mask. The person was Professor Banner but Jaden wasn't shocked because he knew that Banner was going to be a shadow rider. The moment that they got their spirit keys he knew that Banner was a shadow rider because of the information that Kaiba had given him. Amnael said "my turn, I draw, I summon Helios - The Primordial Sun in attack mode and I play the spell double summon to play another Banisher of Light in defense mode. Now I play the spell card Graceful Charity, now I can draw three cards. But I discard two, because of Banisher of Light, I remove them from play and now my Helios - The Primordial Sun gains 200 attack points because of the removed monsters from play. But now I am allowed to sacrifice my Helios - The Primordial Sun to special summon Helios Duo Megistus. Now my monster gains (2x 100att) so now my monster has 600 attack points. Now, attack Jaden directly." Jaden had 1000 life points left. Jaden said "my turn, I draw, I play the spell card O-Oversoul to bring back Elemental Hero Sparkman, now I play polymerization to summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. Now Flame Wingman attack and end this duel."

The duel was over and then, shocking Jaden, Banner then turned to dust and was no more. Jaden ran from the abandoned dorm to see if Alexis and Atticus had been returned. Jaden got to Atticus' room and saw both Atticus and Alexis laying on the floor next to one another. Jaden then woke both of them. Alexis, when she woke up, gave Jaden a hug. Alexis said "I knew that you would rescue me and my brother, but who was that shadow rider." Jaden said "it was Banner and he took both of you down along with Chazz. But now is not the time to get into the details. I am just glad to save both my future wife and my future brother-in-law." Alexis gave him a kiss and they both got Atticus in his bed and decided to rest for the shadow riders had been defeated.
