I wonder how long we'll be running around the studio.

A part of me wants to hide behind or under something and let her find me.

That way, when I do see her walk past me —

With her eyes set on a direction she thinks I'm at,

Her hands opening and closing into those tiny little fists she'd probably use on me,

And her voice fading into the heavy bass of the speakers inside Broadway —

I can come up behind her,

Wrap her in my arms,

And apologize for what I did earlier with another kiss on her cheek.

The other cheek.

That way, it wouldn't feel jealous.
