Chapter 9

Amber's P.O.V

"Um... I was wondering if I could ask you what happened with your dad? Only if you want to though! I'm leaving tomorrow and I don't want to have that girl Sarah said about you on mind. Because I know what she said, isn't true." He told me.

Should I tell him? I mean, I trust him. And he did sort of save my life.

I take out my phone and open my notes app to write down the tragic accident that happened when I was 9.

Flashback  (still Amber's P.O.V)

"Daddy can we watch Lion Kin." I asked my dad.

"Of course honey" My dad aid while getting off the couch and putting Lion King in the DVD player.

Halfway through the movie me and my dad heard strange noises coming the kitchen, which was weird because we were the only two in the house.

"You stay hear sweetie. I'll go investigate that noise." my father told me as he got off the couch and headed towards the kitchen. I just continued watching the movie. After 5 minutes I heard loud noises, of pans hitting the floor. I got scared and headed towards the kitchen to see my dad fighting a man dressed in all black. the man had a gun in his hand. I just stood there. I mean, what could I have done I was just a 9 year old girl.

Then something I feared of happened. the man shot my dad! At that point I could move. It took me a few second to take in what just happened. The man noticed me and walked over to me.

"Don't talk! Don't speak to anybody about what just happened!" The man whispered in my ear then ran out of the house.

once I finally realized what happened I ran over to my father, which was on the floor holding the place that he got shot from. Which was his chest. his eyes were still open but I could tell they were getting heavier by the minute.

"Daddy are you okay! Daddy please don't leave me!" I cried in between my sobs.

"Babygirl go call the police. you know the number 911" he told me avoiding my question.

"Okay daddy. I'm going to go call the police but please don't close your eyes!" I cried out while running to the home phone. I picked it up and dialed 911.

"911, what's your emergency?" a female voice said.

"Please help me! My daddy just got shot!" I cried out.

"okay sweetie, I just need to know where you live." The lady asks a calm as she can.

"Willow St. its the first house on the right!" I cry.

"okay honey I just need you to stay calm! help is on its way." the women says then hangs up the phone.

I immediately ran to the kitchen, towards my dad. I walk up to his and see his eyes are closes! I immediately panic!

"Daddy wake up, help is on its way!" I yell shaking him.

Nothing

"Daddy please! Open your eyes!" I yelled louder. for 10 minutes straight I was yelling at my father, so that he would open his eyes. Even though I knew I had no chance.

knock knock

"Police! Please open up!" The cops yell. I run to the door and open it. a bunch of cops burst inside and one lady walks up to me.

"Where's your daddy?" she asks while kneeling down to my level.

I didn't talk. Remembering the man that told me not to speak! I just pointed to the kitchen and the lady nodded while rush into the kitchen with 3 police men that were suited up, with guns in their hands. The lady walked up to my father checked his pulse. Then she looked over to the police with a sad face. That's the moment I knew,

Daddy isn't coming back.

End Of Flashback

At this point I was crying. Once Cody was done reading what I have just written, he looked up to me and noticed my sad eyes. He didn't ask question, he didn't speak. He just hugged my tight.

After a while we parted from the hug and I whipped my tears away.

"So do you live with your mom now?" Cody asked and I started typing again, saying:

After that day, I was suppose to live with my birth mother. But she didn't want me. So I got sent to foster care. And now I live with my foster parents and foster siblings. There really nice, but I don't speak to them, I just use sign language.

After Cody is done reading that he was about to say something, but he got interrupted by Kat and Justin entering the room.

"Amber we have to leave, my parents are coming home today." Kat said and I nodded.

"Hold up, let me go get my car keys!" Justin ask while walking out of the room.

"Its okay! We can take bus home," Kay protests but Justin doesn't listen.

"No. We can't risk anything happening to you two again." Cody said. Then Justin came back with the car keys and we walked outside to the driveway. And we got into the car.

The drive was fun. Justin blasted the music in the car and we were dancing along to the music. But that ended once we got home. We stopped in front of Kat's house and got out of the car, as do the boys.

"Well ladies, I guess this is goodbye." Cody says sadly.

"How long are you guys touring for?" Kat asks them.

"A month." Justin replies.

"Well.. its not that long. Until then we can Skype, Facetime, And talk on the phone." Kat says trying to keep the atmosphere positive.

"True!" Cody says a bit happier this time. Then in the corner of my eye I saw Kat give Justin a kiss on the check the a long and sweet hug!

I looked over to Cody to see he was awkwardly looking at the ground. I also peck his check, his head shot up. his face was full of happiness and shock. Then unexpectedly he attacked me with a hug. of course, I hugged back.

Kat's P.O.V

After we said goodbye I went to my house and Amber went to hers. I saw my parent and gave the a big bear hug, but strangely, they didn't hug back.

"Did I do something?" I ask.

"Have you seen the house! What the heck happened!" My mom yelled.

Oh no! I can't tell them what happened!

"Um.. Me and Amber got a little crazy over the weekend.' I lied. then my mom just sighs. I walk to my room and lay down on my bed.

Ding Ding

I got a text. I check my phone. it was a unknown number!

Now that your bodyguards are gone, you two bitches better watch out!
