Burning for You
I see a line of clouds
Spilling out of the sky
and punctuated by flashes
of awesome brilliance
Extending like a fork
reaching for earthly pie
Reminds me of the Creator
the tenor of His thunderous reply
the Son He sent to die
the power of His love
Surging down like a billion volts
to bring sinners to Heaven above
But till then –
Burning for Him like a fiery bolt
Rain, thunder, lightning, clouds have always been strong attractors for me, as well as inspiration. I do however give these phenomena the healthy respect they deserve. Lightning especially. But since I was very young, I have always associated lightning bolts with the hand of God. Let me burn brightly for Him until called home.
