Jefferson was sitting in the jail cell. He was ashamed of himself that he had acted so wrongly in his feelings. Sure Hook deserved a punch but not a beat down. All he did was kiss Regina. But he did kidnap Jefferson. So perhaps he did deserve an attack. Once Regina found out about this specifically after she told him not to hurt Hook he knew that she would be furious.
She'll hate me. Grace, Henry, and even my father will hate me. I deserve being punished for this and I don't deserve Henry, my father, Grace, or Regina. They all deserve better than this.
The hatter sat in a puddle of guilt as David called Regina from the office phone. She answered immediately. "I was just about to call. What happened?" She asked in an annoyed voice.
"Well Regina, I caught your dear Jefferson beating up the town pirate-"
"I told him not to! Can I speak to him please?"
"You've got to come down here yourself," he said, looking over to the depressed man.
"I don't want to see her. I don't want to see anybody," Jefferson mumbled.
"He says he doesn't want to see you or anybody. So when he does I'll call you and have you come down. How does that sound?"
"Okay," Regina said as she held back tears.
"You can take one visitor at a time tomorrow. But Regina must where a cuff that blocks her magic. We can't have her breaking you out then we'll arrest her again, okay?" David asked and the hatter nodded slowly.
The sheriff could see how ashamed Jefferson was of himself, tears in his eyes and not his usual bright personality. David frowned at the man before saying goodnight and turning off the office lights. Jefferson walked over to the bed and crawled into. It was so uncomfortable. He knew that he wouldn't get any sleep that night.

The Next Day
She would be going into woke late, but she had to see Jefferson. She had sent Grace on to school and made her way down to the station. Jefferson said he didn't want to see anybody. She hoped that wasn't true and he was just tired or something. Regina walked up to the station door and knocked.
Emma was the one to open it. "Good morning Regina. You here to see him?" She asked.
"Yes. May I?" Regina asked, starting to walk.
"Whoa wait. I asked him when I clocked in today. He still doesn't want to talk. I'm sorry. Maybe try tonight after work," the blonde said as she adjusted her badge.
Regina nodded and pursed her lips as she held back tears. "Okay," she said, still nodding and walked out full of emotions.
Emma sighed as she saw Regina walk out. She knew she was hurting, but Jefferson had to pay. The blonde just walked back into the office to await calls.

Town Hall
The mayor walked into her office with her hot coffee she had just gotten from the break room. Today was not going to be an easy day. No shared laughs and lunch with her boyfriend. No cute texts from him saying he loved her. All she had was Ten of Hearts. If she were to loose that thing or it be destroyed she would freak out.
She sat down in her chair and looked at the paperwork before her. She pinched the bridge of her nose as she tried to remain sane. Then she heard a faint knock on the door. She could see a tiny figure in the door.
