You know those characters. The plot of the story along the way lost the entire "ninja" plot and the main character suddenly became a wimpy lovesick puppy.
Dear freaking Hades, if your chest aches when you see someone and you can't freaking do anything go to the doctor because you're probably going into cardiac arrest
Starting a fanfic off well with lots of plot and fights and training and battles then cutting all of that out suddenly and turning it into a love story is one of thr most cruel things you can do to me.
If I wanted a love story I would look for a Naruto love fanfic, not something action. Geez.
I beg of you, if you're gonna make a love story then keep the ninja plot.
