"Well, well, well.  The guy who got his ass kicked is ready for more, I presume?"  Amy asked, crossing her arms and giving Caleb a once-over.

"Very funny, nice to see you too, Amy-kins."

She seemed to have gotten so pissed off at this nickname, that I decided to smooth the waves by greeting Terry, who seemed grateful.

"Well, hello again.  So, today we-"  She was cut off by the debate Caleb and Amy were having.  "Stop acting like two year olds fightig over a toy!  I thought you both were highly, up-to-date trained agents?  Are you convinicing me you two aren't?"  She asked sharply, causing them to look down and shake their heads.  The three of them looked like a mother scolding her young, until she turned her attention back to me.  She smoothed her hair and composed herself, before speaking again.

"Again, so today, we will be testing how well you can with stand certain environments, opponents, and create weapons at a moment's notice."

I felt such a rush of warmth, knowing that I finally have something to do and the rush of thinking about my future.  (AN: Ah shiz, I just drank too much Coka Cola ugh now I feel like throwing up)

"Oh, okay.  What's the first environment?"

"You'll see."  And with that, the lights went out, and I felt movement surronding me.

"Where did you all go?"  I called, walking around, trying to find them.

Ten seconds later, the lights came up, except it wasn't as harsh as earlier.  It actually looked like the afternoon sun, but, the overhanging leaves casued the light to bounce on the shiny foliage.  The ground, my skin, and the brush were dappled in the lighting and smells.

"Think."  Amy, Terry, and Caleb's voice sounded from all around me, letting me know I still wasn't alone.

I did as their voices commanded, and I thought about their whereabouts, the layout of the scenery, and what I could possibly due to fend for myself.  I guess I'm just a multi-thinker.

Then, the layout came to me, with glowing landmarks as to where the three of them were, and it seems to be by a lake.

I started my journey by taking a left from my current position, but I don't know how exactly that came to mind.

"Good job,  Serafina.  You have successfully shown us your mental abilities, though we cannot successfully pin point your gift and job yet, that soon will be discovered as you continue on.

"Your next step is to prove how well you are at fighting, and if your powers were to come out, then you may use them.

"But, beware, they are fairly new and you may not know how strong they will come to you.  Just, be careful."  Terry said, breaking her parts to elaborate on her seriousness.

"Gotcha."  I said, and this caused Caleb to snort.

"If you find this so funny, let's fight again.  See what happens just for the hell of this."  I said, crossing my arms and stepping towards him.

"Sure, sure.   And this is the one place I can beat a girl without being sued, so let's go for it."  He said nonchalantly, before walking to a clear patch of grass by the beah.

I followed in suite, leaving Terry and Amy to whisper to one another.

He started his attack by a few well placed punches, which I easily dodged.  I landed my first strike in his abdomen, making him lose a breath.  He lifted his shirt, and revealed a black bruise in the place I hit him.

I heard gasps behind me, and my eyes widened.

"I'm-I'm so sorry."

He didn't respond, only went into a coffee grinder to try to knock me off my feet.  It, sadly, worked.  I fell backwards and onto green grass.  I placed my hands behind my self to try to push up, but Caleb grabbed my feet before anything was done.  I slid on the grass, with my hands trailing above my heads.  I grabbed purchase of a passing rock, and used this to pull myself out of his grip.

The only thing that was different was the singed and flaming grass.

"Oh, shit."  I said.  "What do we do?!"  I shrieked to Terry.  This caused Caleb to stop his next attack to look at the thing I was pointing at.

"You did that,"  She said, thus making it totally obvious on what I had to do.  Not.

"Well how do I stop it?!"  I cried.

"It's your power, try to absorb it."  She said simply.

Not helping, I thought silently.

I took a deep breath and decided to walk towards the building flames.

What to do?  I thought to myself.  But then, I got an idea.

I walked into the flames, hearing yells behind me but they drowned out at the racing of my heart.  The flames flicked at me, but like yesterday, -atleast I think it was yesterday- it felt refreshing and sensational, like the heat of my body during a crisp day.

I traveled farther into the heat, feeling my life slip away.  My eyes started to burn, my hair caught a bit of fire, but it didn't burn to ash.  Instead, all of the flames slowly trickled onto my body, taking space to wherever they can find an unoccupied inch of flesh or hair.

Not long, my body was encased in fire, even my eyelashes.  I then looked around to see three gaping mouths, and no remenants of the fire I had started.

I looked at my hand, and there was no fire crawling on my skin, no burn mark or redness to be found.  Only the tips of my eyelashes remained slightly smoldering.

"Serafina,"  Terry started.

"Yes?"

"Welcome to team 001."
