Dean hadn't ever meant to stumble across the creature. Mind you, the beautiful creature. He had simply been walking along the shore by his house, early in the morning, when he'd seen specks of glowing blue light coming from the waters' edge.

He had grown curious, and ran to investigate, only to find a man. Though, it wasn't much of a man at all. It's top half was human like, but below the waist, it looked more like a fish, with a long, navy blue tail, that was adorned with speckles of blue, and greenish spots. On each side there was also a thin, see through fin that was a lighter blue in color.

At first, Dean couldn't believe his eyes. But when he had moved his gaze up the creatures body, and to his face, he couldn't help but wonder if this beautiful man laying in front of him was single.

Not the time for those thoughts, Dean. He had scolded himself, finally coming to his senses and kneeling beside the man. He truly was beautiful. With striking blue eyes, and lips that could kill.

Dean leaned over him, staring into the blue orbs that stared back. "What are you?" He asked quietly, a hint of fear in his voice, for he had never seen anything like this. Sure, he'd seen movies, and read books about mermaids, but never in his eighteen years of living, had he seen one in real life. Mermaids were a simple story of someone's imagination, that had been passed down through generations. But then again, legends had to come from somewhere, didn't they?

The creature before him took in a deep breath, and tried to speak, but only choked on his own blood. That's when Dean had finally noticed the large wound on the mans' side.

It looked as if a shark had taken a bite out of his beautiful body. But from the looks of where he'd come from, Dean wouldn't be surprised if that was actually what happened.

Dean frowned at the man, and gently pressed his hands to the wound, trying his best to stop the bleeding. "It's okay. I'm Dean, and I'm gonna help you. Don't speak." He'd stated, removing his hands for merely a minute to cup some of the oceans water in them. He carefully poured it over the wound, washing most of the blood away, and in hopes, any bacteria.

The creature nodded slowly, and simply stared at Dean as he worked on his wound, and Dean couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable under the gorgeous specimens' gaze.

Dean had quickly stopped the bleeding, and watched in disbelief as the wound had already begun to heal. Slowly, but it was still healing at an incredible rate.

He sat back on his haunches, and stared between the man, and his healing wound. "W-What are you?" He asked, truly frightened now.

The creature sat up, hissing in pain, but quickly recovered, and looked to Dean. He placed his hand on Deans cheek, and smiled a bit. "My name is Castiel, but you will not remember me, sadly. I'm afraid I must go, and I can't have the risk of someone finding out about me. Goodbye, my dear Dean, and I thank you for what you have done." He stated, running his thumb along Deans cheek bone.

Dean closed his eyes at the gesture, reveling in the soft hands of this man named Castiel. Castiel. What an interesting name. He had thought, a small smile on his face as Castiel took Dean in his arms.

"Now sleep." He had whispered gently in Deans ear, and that was the last thing Dean heard before everything went dark.
