Poem (20) - Am I the one to be blamed?

They said time is fast and it flies,
But she knew that their words are full of lies.
For she waited for time to move on,
And to take away the pain that's left her torn.
But time stood as still as ever,
And left her scarred forever.

They said time heals,
But she knew that only meaningless words they do reveal.
For she waited for time to mend her broken heart's pieces,
And to destory the bomb-like torture that life releases.
But time didn't do its doctor - like magic,
And left her alone in a journey that's so tragic.

Soon they got bored of her and she was estranged,
But in this blissful solace she found something strange.
For then did she hear time ticking by,
'Tick tock', was its cry.
"Oh time, are you finally here?" She whispered hoping to be free,
"Will you free me from this hell, will you answer my plea?"

But when time remained silent she could handle it no more,
And she slowly rose and like a lioness she roared.
She asked, "Oh time! Are you deaf when people beg for you to stop?
Is hurting people your only job?"
"They said you were fast, but what took you so long?
They called you a healer, but they have never been so wrong!"

With that she fell, tired of this world,
And all the torture lay within her - furled.
Death consumed her like a flame,
But time was still wondering, 'Am I the one to be blamed?'
