I remember that day like the back of my hand. Even though I wish I didn't. The day started out great. The sun was shining, the air just right. I spent the day with Jared, my boyfriend. We did absolutely nothing, well, except for talking, kissing, and watching movies. "What would I do without you?" Jared asks as he pushes some hair behind my ear.
He lays on the couch, I on top of him."What you did before you met me." I say, rolling my eyes.
He laughs "My life was boring then."
I smile and kiss him. He wraps his arms tighter around me. We stay like that until we can't breathe. I pull away, breathing heavily.
"I love you" I whisper.
"I love you too." He whispers back.
We kiss again. Multiple kisses. Some short. Some long. Some very light. Some strong and wanting.
|That night|
Jared lays beside me on the bed. My back pressed against his chest, his arm wrapped around me. Holding me to him. We sleep peacefully.
Till the sound of a window breaking wakes us up.
"What was that?" Jared asks.
I just shrug and hop out of bed, Jared doing the same. We run down the stairs. Mom and dad wait for us.
"What was that?" I ask.
"We don't know. We think a window broke." Mom says.
The lights go off. It's pitch black everywhere. I feel arms go around me. I thought they were Jared's till I heard Jared ask where I was. I screamed.
"KAYLA!" Jared, mom, and dad yell.
A hand goes over my mouth, making my screams muffled. I kick and jump. Trying to get free from the person's grip.
I'm taken out of the house and thrown into a van. I hit my head when they threw me in. I black out.
