*Madison's POV*
I wake up about 1:00 in the morning puking. I think I might be sick because it is flu season. I go to my parents room and wake my mom.
"Hey mom I think I might have the flu"
"Oh sweetie let's go down to the kitchen and I'll check your temperature" she says in a sleepy voice
When we get downstairs I jump up to sit on the island while she checks my temperature
"Oh my it's 101.3! First thing tomorrow morning we are going to the doctor"
"Okay"
I head back upstairs and get back in my bed a try to go to sleep. I wake up again and it's 5:30 in the morning. I run to the bathroom as fast as I could not to throw up on the floor. After I get done puking my guts out I get in the shower. I take a really hot shower so the steam can help me get to breathing better. When I get out its about 6:15 I dry off and change into some different shorts and a t-shirt and get back in the bed.
I wake up to someone rubbing my forehead
"Hey honey, I made an appointment for you at Tree Sap
You need to get up and change we have to leave in 20 minutes" mom said
"Okay"
It's about 9:00 when I get up. I change into my white Adidas shirt and black Adidas sweat pants and hoodie. I put my hair into a messy side braid and then brush my teeth and put deodorant on and I'm ready to go. I grab my phone off my pink charger and head downstairs.
"You ready?" She says
"Yeah"
"Okay go get in the car" she says grabbing her keys of the counter

"Madison, the doctor will see you now" the nurse says
Mom and I get up and head back there. After the nurse checks my temp, weighed me, and ask questions she leads us to a room to sit in an wait for Dr. Cappleman
It doesn't take but a few minutes and the doctor comes in the room.
"Hello" he says entering the room with a bright smile. I swear his white teeth sparkled
"Okay there is good news and bad news... You don't have the flu but you do have strep throat"
"Oh okay" I say back
"I'll send you a prescription to Duncan's and you are ready to go"
"Okay thanks Doc"
When we leave I ask mom if we can go to the Dairy Bar to get a cheery sprite.
"Mom can I get a cheery sprite for the Dairy Bar?"
"Sure sweetie, I think I might get one for myself too"
We get our Sprite and head home
