Chapter 4

We went back to my house after my mom picked us up.

''I still cant believe it'' I said 

''Me too'' Ciara said

''Bootcamp is next week cause we were one of the last citys that auditions were held in'' I told her 

We dropped ciara home and then went back to my house.Later that night the doorbell rang. My mom opened the door i heard her say ''Jooe Go away wwe dont want you here'' 'Shit''  I said to myself my dad was at the door '' Get out of my fucking way'' I heard him say 

I ran down the stairs ''GO AWAY'' I screamed 

''Get back up to your room you little bitch'' He yelled 

''No'' I screamed i ran over to my mom and then he hit her. She screamed and started crying. I tried to punch him in the face but he was faster and hit me really hard across the face. I screamed in pain and ran back upstairs. He left a few minutes later. I heard my mom coming up the stairs. I had locked the door so no one could get in. 

''Alex'' I heard her say 

''Alex open the door'' She said 

''No go away'' I screamed 

''I'm not going away untill you open this door'' She said

''Well too bad'' I screamed 

I started crying. I went over to the drawer and got out the rusty blade. I started cutting. I looked at my now bleeding wrist. It made me feel alive.I got the bandaids that i had hidden under my bed and put it over my cuts. 

*The next day* 

I woke up and got dressed i went into the bathroom to put on make-up then i saw a big bruise on my face where my dad had hit me. I tried to cover it as best i could. I rushed out the door to school so i wouldn't have to talk to my mom. 

When i got to school Ciara was waiting by my locker. 

''Hey'' i said trying to smile but it hurt

''How are you'' She asked 

''Great'' I said 

''Can't wait for today'' She said 

''What's happening today'' I asked 

''Dont you remember we're going to the mall and i'm helping you practise for you know what'' She said 

''Oh yeah Shit i forgot about that'' I said 

''It's okay can i still come to yours after'' She said 

''Not today'' I said 

''Why'' She asked 

''I'm busy'' I said 

''Really you wern't busy yesterday when i asked you'' She said 

''Sorry something just came up i gotta go'' I said and i ran to my first class which didn't start for another 10 minutes

My last two classes i had gym. We were in the dressing room. i heard leah say ''Fat'' I ignored it the first time. We went out to everyone else once we got changed. While we were warming up whick involved running leah ran ahead of me and said ''Your so fat you cant even run'' I ignored her again.She did it a few times and i got fed up of her calling me that i lost it at her. Once again i punched her. But the teacher didn't even notice.Once the bell rang i ran home. I ran straight upp to my room and pulled out the blade once again i started cutting.

I heard the doorbell ring. I heard my mom say ''Hi ciara shes upstairs i'll call her now''  I pulled down my sleve over my arm and ran down the stairs

''hello'' I  said and my mom went back into the sitting room

''Hey.. What hapened to your face'' She said 

''What do you mean'' I asked 

''You have a really bad bruise on your face'' She said 

''Oh it's nothing'' I said 

''Nothing my ass'' She replied 

''Okay come in and i'll tell you'' I said and we walked up stairs

 'My dad came over last night'' I said 

''He did that to you'' She said 

''Ya he was drunk'' I said 

''What did your mom say'' She asked 

''She hasn't seen it yet'' I said 

''Anyway lets not focus on that lets focus on bootcamp'' I said
