School was ... long. That's all I had to say about it. I kind of regret deciding to go, but I wouldn't have gotten to talk to Jesse again. I guess that's the bright side of things. I walked to my locker to pack my things. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and ended up hitting the person directly behind me. What is my deal with smacking people?"God, again with you?" I heard the girl say. I turned around to see the same bland popular chick. I knew her type, she thought she ran the school. I breathed in. I already knew my fate.
"One more time and I swear." She grunted, shoving me aside. She strutted off in her five inch heels, angrily sighing. I shrugged and walked out of the school, looking around at all the zombies that came back to life after leaving. I heard Jesse call my name from behind me.
"Adie wait up!" He called, racing towards me. When he caught up he put his hands on his knees and tried to catch his breath. He looked back up at me.
"How was your version of hell?" He asked, finally standing up. We continued walking as we spoke.
"Alright I guess. Besides me hitting a popular goose with my backpack." I said, turning to look at him. He honestly had the cutest brown eyes I've ever seen. He laughed at my answer.
"Ah, Cyndi Walter. Off to a great start. " He said. Putting his hands in his pockets. He turned to look at me. His eyes fixed on mine. We stopped walking.
"I want to hang out with you, let's go to your place." He told me. I didn't know if he was being serious or not.
"What?" I asked.
"I want to hangout. It's easier to talk in person."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Um, okay. I'll text my da- parental guardian."
Jesse looked at me and a half smile formed on his face. I pulled out my phone and opened Gerard's contacts. I sent him a message
Hey can a friend from school come over?
He took a few seconds to respond.
"Father": Is it a boy?
Yeah.
"Father": Uuuggghhh fine. No funny business.
I laughed at his response, and I looked back up to Jesse.
"He said it was okay." I told him. He nodded and we continued walking. I looked around for Ray and Mikey's car. We eventually found it.
"Cool ride" he said. "You're parents have good taste." He said, admiring the shiny black color of the car. I laughed and we got in the back seat of the car. Mikey turned around when he noticed two car doors being opened and shut.
"Adie you made a friend!" he exclaimed, looking at Jesse. Jesse froze, and just stared. He turned to me, very slowly.
"Is this real life?" He asked, wide eyed. I nodded and he turned back to look at Mikey and Ray.
"So are you two like-" Jesse started, waiting for one of them to finish the sentence. Ray turned around.
"Oh no, we're technically her uncles. Gerard's the happy parent." He said, putting the key into ignition to start the car. It looked like Jesse's soul was going to literally leave his body.
"Oh my god." He whispered to me. We laughed and Ray started driving towards the house. Now I'm just a little worried If Jesse only likes me for my family. Hopefully not, he doesn't look like the type to do that. We mostly smiled at each other the whole ride.
