I've been so lonely these years, with no one to hold me.
No one to comfort me while it's cold outside.
I can hear the wind howling like a pack of wolves.
I can hear my heart beating slowly,
As if anticipating something
The doorbell rings,
Should I answer?
"Maybe it's best if I ignore it"
I didn't listen to my inner voice,
Instead I made my way to the door,
I stood there, in front of the door
As I anxiously await another ring.
I look through the peephole,
Trying to make out the figure in the haze of the dark.
At this point my body became numb,
My eyes transfixed
As I don't know what to expect.
I regained composure and braced my back against the door,
Not really knowing what else to do.
It rang again.
Should I answer?
It's him, isn't it?
