"How about we do something like slower? Like we kinda need a ballad but we also need it to be punk."

"Yeah cuz we're sooo punk rock." I rolled my eyes at Mikey who I was attempting to write a song with but he wasn't helping today.

"We are!"

"Well, I have a start."

I sang and hoped Mikey didn't ask where I was getting the inspiration for this song.

"That's good, that as really good I can work with that. How about..." He picked up a banjo and started playing random cords and things that didn't match the song we were working on. I picked up my phone and took a picture of him. "You look like a moron."

"No no! Really! It'll be great! Here gimme your phone for a sec." I gave it to him and walked to my guitar in the corner of the room.

"Oh my god."

"What? What is it?"

"You haven't texted Ellie in 4 hours? I think that's a record."

"Oh  c'mon shut the fuck up mate. Also please don't ask me if I'm gonna ask her out like the rest of the people that know I like her because I so sick and tired of hearing it."

"Well if you did it.." He mumbled typing away on my phone whilst I tried hard not to hit him.

"I  hate you." He chuckled and handed me my phone back and I smiled at the sight of 1 new message from Ellie. I looked through and saw she was texting Mikey before.

Ellie😍💦-so where r u guys?
Me-look at him omg he's so hawt

Ellie😍💦-oh lord is this mikey?
Me-yeah also Luke took that pic
Ellie😍💦-oh did he now
Me-yeah and he's wondering why you haven't answered him
