Sadly, you'll have to wait a bit until reading about Eala. I'll try my hardest to update tomorrow, but that's not particularly likely, as the next chapter will be longer and I have a busy weekend. Sadly, that means I won't be able to update until Wednesday night at the earliest. I'm visiting Nashville, then Dallas for college search (No, sorry, I can't tell you what colleges. I don't want to be stalked. But aren't J2 going to be in Nashville this weekend/week or something???)
Remember your "End of Blue Moon" stuff! Haley's drawing is coming along wonderfully and I look forward to seeing/reading/watching anything else y'all make :)
PS: There is some heavy making out in the first part, but nothing bad. I do try to keep things under control when they're not necessary. I think I've don't a pretty good job.
Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend. BIG HUGS TO EVERYONE EVERYWHERE!

Chapter 35:
The girl with the violet eyes watches Loki's army as it swarms to greet the newcomers from the north. But her eyes narrow and as she continues to watch through her falcon-like irises, a hawk silently alights on her narrow shoulders. The hawk, with eyes as vividly violet as his mistress, clicks its razor-sharp beak, and the girl reaches up to stroke the soft feathers.
She closes her eyes, hearing the whispering, volucrine voice in her mind.
When she snaps them open, she is smiling now.
As the hawk, with a soft cry, spreads its wings and soars into the west, the girl tightens her weapons belt. Moving quickly, she pushes through the sea of jubilant, relieved soldiers, her slender form slipping between them. On her way to the horses, she surreptitiously grabs a bow and a quiver full of arrows.
Not stopping to find a saddle and bridle, she pulls a horse away from the others: a slender black mare with feathers on the hocks. She mounts her, then turns the mare toward the west, hooves clattering on the river rocks of Fletohein.
She has just reached the gaping archway signaling the end of the canyon when a horsegirl with shining copper hair riding a gentle plow horse appears from around the corner about a hundred yards ahead.
"Miss, you are not allowed to leave," the copper-haired begins, but the violet-eyed girl, urging her mare faster, whips out an arrow, notches it in her bow, and sends the glittering iron point into the girl's chest. The horsegirl falls with a soft umph, her copper hair falling around her bleeding face and neck.
Not losing her balance once, the violet-eyed girl fastens her bow back on her shoulder at the same time her mare jumps over the fallen horsegirl. Looking up, she sees the dark outline of her hawk in the midday sun, circling Fletohein and pointing her west.
Smiling, the girl kicks her mare into a gallop and, bending over her neck, breathes in the scent of death and follows it.
*
By nightfall, the girl with the violet eyes enters the shadowy camp beneath the trees, branches of leaves sending shadows over her mare's neck and haunches. She rides easily, her body moving up and down in synchronization to the horse's motions.
A bearded man with an eyepatch and a mace blocks her way. "Who are you, girl?" he growls.
"Let her be, Franyol," says a voice as clear and rolling as a lute. Out from the darkness and framed in the firelight walks Caomh. His silver eyes rest on her and he smiles, flashing his bright white teeth. As Franyol walks away, muttering under his breath, the sorcerer says, "Welcome, Baya."
