"For shooting him in his hand" I grin. He looks at me and wets a paper towel and starts dabbing on my cheek, as he does so I lean into his hand. But I quickly pull away as does he. I look away as he leaves the room to I assume to check on his sister. A few seconds after he left my phone started to vibrate "mom's birthday." On the screen, tears flooded my eyes she would have been 38 tomorrow.
"You okay?" Justin asked me as he stands in the dark corner. I whip my tears away and looked up at him with s fake smile.
"I'm fine" I say walking into the living room. "I'm going get some sleep. I'm-" I stopped and for the first time I realized I didn't have anything.
"Rainey you can sleep on the couch. Until we can find a place for you to go" he says waking off.
"I know you want me gone." I whispered to my self. He came back with a pillow and blacket I thanked him and he went to bed. And I layed done on the couch and cried until I fell asleep.
