When I had woken up the day after I had all those battles, my body ached all over. I managed to tell Eliza that I had kept some food under the floor where I kept my satchel. I’d planned ahead for if something like this would happen and packed a weeks worth of extra food where no body would find it. My father had always said to prepare for the worst and that the crew was the most important. Without the crew, you had no reason for a ship.

A lot of the crew members held respect for me now and it was sort of embarrasing. They had been beaten by a girl after all, but they didn’t know that. The boys around my age started asking how I got so strong and if I would teach them. Though I was reluctant at first, I did show them some easy moves. We practiced early in the mornings and I actually had some fun.
