Elena pov

I got Amandas texted about the Gilbert ring and that Samantha Gilbert wore it and confessed to the murders in 1912. I kept on calling Amanda over and over again finally I got a hold of her we both agreed that Ric should get tested down at the hospital. Of course Amanda said it will be better if I talk to Meredith cause Amanda doesn't trust her self around Meredith. So in the morning I called Meredith and explained what Damon and Stefan found out. To be honest she seemed pretty happy to help us out she said she will run various tests ob Ric. Meredith said she will get back to us and let us know when she can fit us in. I was really happy that Meredith was gonna help us even after everything we done to her

Its almost a week and I haven't heard anything from Meredith, everytime I called her she was in surgery or busy with a patient. To me it sounded like she didn't want to help us after all. Amanda even tried to talk to Meredith but nothing. It was already two weeks since Ric got arrested and we found out what the Gilbert ring does. We were all worried cause if the ring did turn Ric into a serial killer we don't know when Ric will strike again.

Meredith finally called me and told me to bring Ric down so she can run some test she apologized about not getting back to me or Amanda sooner. When I hung up the phone I called Amanda from the sound of her voice she sounded like she was still asleep. I told her Meredith called and she wants us to bring Ric down Amanda said she will be here in 30 mins.

I went downstairs and Ric was in the kitchen drinking coffee I told him about what Amanda told me about Samantha, and Meredith agreed to run some test on him. He was fine with the idea I think he wanted answers as much as we did.

Amanda came over with Miranda Ric and I got into her car and she drove us to the hospital she really didn't talk and she really didn't look good she looked a little pale. We arrived at thr hospital and Amanda parked she got off the car and went and opened the truck she pulled out Mirandas stroller and opened it. I placed Miranda in the stroller and strapped her in. we all walked in the Hospital and we found Meredith she took us to a room that had a MRI machine. She took Ric in there and set it all up for him. Meredith walked back in the room where Amanda and I were she began the scanning process

"Exactly what are you looking for?" Amanda asked as she was making Miranda a bottle.

" I dont know. A tumour, vascular anomalies, anything physical that might example his behavior. If its medical, i can treat it."

" and if its not? " I asked her. She looked at me and gave me a half smile

"Well then we'll deal with that too." she looked into the room where Ric laid down in the machine

" when did you suspect him? That it was Ric who was killing all those people? " I asked. We heard Amanda throwing up Meredith looked at her and her face was filled with concern

"Amanda are you okay?" Meredith asked as Amanda pulled out her mouth wash.

"Im fine. When did you figure it out " Amanda says. We watch Amanda wash her mouth out. I was concerned about my sister she looks pale but you can tell she gained some weight.

"It was right after he told me about his ring. I remember a story my grandmother had told me about Samantha Gilbert and her secret journal. I don't know if you know this, but we Fells are notorious busy bodies. " she walked over to the screen looking at Rics results

"But then, why did you protect him?" I questioned her.

"Because im a doctor, i don't like to see someone hurt by something they have no control over. And because when he and I first met I felt like.... I don't know, I-I just kind of want to help him." I think Meredith started to fall for Ric. There was a lot of beeping noises. Meredith looked in the room and then she talk to Ric over a speaker." everything alright in there? " she asked Ric.
