The next day came around faster than I thought I’m sitting in the front room and I’m playing with my fingers nervously I keep looking in the mirror making sure I look okay
“babes relax its just Cheryl!” Nadine says placing a hand on my shoulder
“I know I’m just a bit nervous that’s all I mean we are going to be having a serous talk” I say playing with my hair
“I know babes just chill out I mean what’s the worst that can happen?” she say with a raised eyebrow
“that she has had time to think about it doesn’t want to be with me and then she does a runner out of my life” I say
“aww babes that wont happen everything will be fine how many times have I been wrong?” Nadine says
“you’ve never been wrong” I mumble
“right then so chill out and act normal me and Justin are going now okay” she says and I hug her and she goes to the door I sit back down on the sofa and take deep breaths
“Kim Cheryl’s here!” Nadine shouts and I shoot up from my place and start to make my way to the door when I get there I see her, she looks stunning she is wearing denim short with a white vest, with a long sliver necklace with a heart on it her hair is falling around her shoulders , she looks breath taking I snap out of gaze when I hear her Geordie tones fill my ears
“hey pet what you staring at?” she asks and I see she is right in front of me and i was still staring at were she was once standing at by her car
“oh just a beautiful girl i saw standing over there” I say with a smile
“she must be something to have caught your attention” she smiles with her dimples on show
“she is more than something” I say and walk into the house leaving Cheryl to follow to me which she does and we sit on the sofa
“how was Bella this morning?” I ask
“yeah she was fine looking forward to school as they are doing dancing in P.E” Cheryl says
“aww bless her” I say and then we sit in silence its not an uncomfortable one it’s a nice one, one that you can feel comfortable with but with the right person it’s a good thing that Cheryl is my right person then
“you didn’t text me last night” Cheryl says looking a bit sad, oh god I had completely forgotten as I was talking Nadine I move closer to Cheryl and wrap an arm around her waist
“oh I’m sorry I got talking to Nadine and I forgot… forgive me ?” I say with a smile and I kiss her on the cheek
“oh right this whole time I thought you regretted what happened last night and that you were avoiding me” she laughs nervously
“why would I regret it do you?” I ask
“No” she automatically says making me smile
“last night was the best night of me life Kimberley I don’t know what it was like for you but I really like you I have to tell you that because I cant keep it a secret anymore and I understand if you just wanna be friends I can deal with that as long as I have you close that’s fine…….” She says stopping for breath I look at her and smile last night was the best of her life I feel the same way
“Cheryl….last night I don’t regret it when we kissed my head went all funny I had butterflies in my stomach I still have them now you make feel me alive again Cheryl you make me happy more happy then I have been in years and I don’t think I can just be your friend” I say looking her in the eye she’s smiling her smile is beaming and her dimples are on show
“what happens now?” she asks quietly
“what do you want to happen?” I ask
“well would like to think we could you know…be to..gether?” Cheryl say shyly and I smile I answer her by placing my lips over hers she places her hand on my cheek and strokes it we pull away and we are both smiling
“soo does this mean your me girlfriend?” she asks with a cheeky smile
“yes I guess it does I’m your girlfriend” I smile and kiss her again she jumps up and tightens her arms around my neck I hug her tight and place a kiss on her neck she pulls back and looks at me
“what ?” I ask
“nothing I just cant believe I’m going out with the most beautiful woman in the world” she smiles
“ah that’s not true because I believe I’ve got the most kindest sweetest, most lovable and gorgeous girlfriend in the world” I say kissing her on the lips making the kiss linger for a while and then look at her and smile I rub our noses together and rest our foreheads together after
“will you tell Nadine?” she asks me
“she already knows she guessed said she saw it coming and wanted all the details of last night which I had to tell her and she said we make a cute couple” I smile
“awww I’m glad Nadine is okay with us where is she by the way ?” Cheryl asks looking around for the Irish girl
“oh she took Justin out while you came over she didn’t want to get in the way” I say taking a piece of her hair and twisting it between my fingers
“your hair is so soft” I say absentmindedly
“your lips are so soft too” she says and her lips connect with mine we pull away when the door opens and closes Cheryl moves over on the sofa but I pull her back so she is leaned into my side with my arm still around her waist Justin runs in and jumps on the sofa
“mummy auntie Cheryl” I says with a smile
“hello mister been keeping Nadine busy?” I ask
“yeah we went to the park and feed the duckys”
“awww good boy hey Nadine “ Cheryl says and Nadine walks in and sits on the other sofa
“how are we girlies?” she asks with a huge smile
“we are perfectly fine thank you” Cheryl says placing a kiss on my cheek Nadine sits up and puts her hands together
“well are you together, together ?” she asks and we both nod and she squeals
“yay I’m so happy for you both now I want to tell you's something” she says
“okay” we both say
“well I want you both to be godmothers to Hayden and you will both be aunties to her” Nadine says with a smile
“aww babes I would love to” I say I look at Cheryl and see she has tears in her eyes
“what’s wrong baby?” I ask her
“nothing, nothing these are happy tears I would be honoured to be god mammy to your little girl thank you for even giving me a thought about what I would mean to your baby Nadine thank you” Cheryl says
“Awww babes come here” Nadine says and she gets up and so does Cheryl and they hug
“why wouldn’t I make you god mammy and auntie to Hayden you have been here through out my pregnancy and told me I could raise my baby without a dad you helped me more than you think babes” Nadine says smiling breaking away from the hug Cheryl says thank you again and sits back down next to me and puts an arm around my shoulders
“is Sarah picking Bella up?” I ask
“yeah she is their going to spend a little time together before she goes back up Liverpool tonight” Cheryl says
“aww that’s nice” I say
“yeah she loves her nana even if she is a bit crazy” Cheryl laughs
We sit and chat for awhile until Cheryl has to leave I walk her to the door and she turns around to face me
“will I see you tomorrow?” she asks
“of course baby” I say and kiss her she walks out the door not before giving me one last kiss and then getting in car I watch her drive off and I go back to the living room where Justin had fallen asleep on the sofa and Nadine is just looking at me with a smile
“what?” I say laughing at her
“oh nothing Its just that smile has not left your face all day since I came home I’m glad Cheryl makes you happy” she says I sit next to her and hug her
“she does make me happy extremely happy” I beam
“that’s great babes that’s all I need to know now I’m starving some I’m gonna make dinner” she says and gets up to the kitchen I sit back into the sofa and look at my little boy sleeping peacefully I stroke his face gently as not to wake him and I smile again my life could not get any better then this I think to myself.
